Finally got on the wagon after reading this thread. I have no clue about overclocking.
I watched some YT videos and configured my 3070 using MSI Afterburner as follows
Power Limit : 70%
Memory Clock :+1400
Fan Speed: 61 at Auto
I'm getting 61.46 MH/s at 61 degree GPU temp. Is this okay for a 3070 FE ? Current profitability hovers just around 350 Rs per day.
Also can I tinker with the settings on MSI Afterburner a bit ? I'm super scared of bricking the card. Is it a risk to consider ?

How are you getting 50 MH/s with mem at +1200? I dont get that with even +1400 mem. Which miner are you using?

My Afterburner settings for 3070 FE
-400 Clock, +1300 Mem, 58% power (125 watts); This gives me about 61.70 MH/s
Temps don't cross 62 degrees.

67 is good temp, you can keep these setting and run for a long time. If you want to be more careful open the cabinet and use a table fan the temp might go close to 60 which is great
I haven't engaged in mining on principle. While profitability is well and good, remember that electricity production in India is a zero-sum game. Not only are you encouraging the push to more coal-powered electricity production to meet needless demand, you are also mostly depriving someone else in the grid of electricity capacity.

If you have your own solar system producing surplus electricity then it might make sense instead of selling to the grid with decreasing contract rates. Unfortunately, for a lot of things we do, we only think in terms of what it costs us in money. There are so many other costs in the equation we don't think about which we pay in the long term.

Similarly, our everyday actions like clicking a selfie have a lot of unintended consequences which we aren't aware of.
