Took 3 Paracetamol 500 back to back within a gap of 6-8 hours to suppress it, maybe that's why. Still feeling some headache/hangover but no fever
I took a total of 3 paracetamol as well, but at a gap of 10-12 hours. Btw is taking paracetamol advisable after taking a vaccine @quaratineinthesejeans? I didn't want to take it but parents insisted on it :/
I had mild fever and chills on the night of Day 0 and it was down the next morning/noon. Didn't take Dolo as it was mild, if it was 101 then I would have taken too. Might have had some slight headache but I'm not too sure.
But I was mostly in bed and resting on Day 1, probably because of improper sleep the previous night. Was more or less fine by that night. The annoying thing was the arm ache.

41. Finally took Covaxin first dose this Saturday in a camp organized by our apartment society. No issues so far except for some localised pain yesterday. Fingers crossed for mom as finally got a slot for her first dose on Wednesday.

As I had mentioned above ,same here .
I (44), mom and dad we all took covaxin first jab on 10th April and it was just mild pain at the site of the injection to me but mom and dad didn't compliant anything.

As parents got infected in April and subsequently recovered, their second dose might be still a few weeks away .

I got my second jab on 24th May and pain in arm and malaise for a couple of days , thats it, no fever etc

Could you please elaborate a bit, would love to know that.

Is it likely that antipyresis can increase the duration of infection or can weaken the development of antibody?
Some stuff i found:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30038529/

There is no real infection really, just a simulated one. So that can't be the concern. It's primarily that anti-pyretics can reduce the immune response as you mentioned.

Even with regular fevers i don't take anything unless it's really bad, which it usually never becomes.

My friend who took Covaxin instead got no fever and anything leading me to believe if it's a pattern related to both the vaccines.

I don't think so, since both my parents got covishield as well but had no fever or body ache. They felt a bit tired for a couple of days, and then everything back to normal. They got their dosage as part of the 45+ camp

I read somewhere a while back that (sufficient) antibodies will start to be generated only approximately 10 days after the shot. So you won't have protection immediately after the shot and should be careful not to step out for 2 weeks.
If the temperature is high and beyond something you can manage taking pills is fine.
And 6 - 8hr gap is ok, that's normal. You'll be fine

Well, if it hadn't been for the localised pain on Sunday I would not have known if I had been injected with anything. I did not feel a thing when the jab was given; I expressed surprise at the nurse saying - is it already done ?!! The needles are pretty fine and the good thing was that the painless experience got two thumbs up from the wife, who has a morbid fear of needles, so much so I had to coax and incentivise her with a gift !!!

I took it a bit more than a week ago (Covishield) and had severe body aches for almost all of last week. Felt rather sleepy and lethargic. It was pretty bad overall but didn't surprisingly I didn't get any fever.

The author states it for an actial Covid infection but does it also apply to any fever post vaccination ?
No, it's perfectly fine to take acetaminophen in post vaccination fever etc.
@quaratineinthesejeans

An interesting read. Specially where pcm and aspirin both similarly supress the antibody response. Looking online for that text.
Sorry, I forgot where exactly this article was published...was maintaining a list of emailed articles and where they planned to publish it..but it's not possible considering how many emails are getting daily.
