Anyone called them for the price? The barebone kit is now available via retail channel as well. My local hardware guy has informed me that AMD is pushing these kits to smaller retailers across India as well as the globe. They heavily highlight the 8C part and targeting the entry-level home/office PC segment.
Anyone called them for the price?
That would be great. ThanksI can talk with my guy on the weekend and get a rough idea.
but 6 -7 years down the line it would be excellent Vm based pfsense and vm baremetal
Combo pricing is bad. We need to find out what's the price of the standalone .bad pricing wont recommend ,rather build a machine with 4650 6c 12t thread with built in GPU
but 6 -7 years down the line it would be excellent Vm based pfsense and vm baremetal
Pricing doesn't look good imo.MD Computers offers the 16 GB kit with a Radeon RX 550 2 GB card for ₹46800, while Starcomp.in lists the same combo for ₹45500. According to my hardware guy, the 16 GB kit alone should be around ₹40000.
Matter of time before price collapses.Scalpers .
great for a proxmox/esxi kinda homelab server usage, sadly no m.2 slot
excellent only if it was priced lowerThe rumored AMD 4800S Desktop Kit allegedly sports a number of improvements over the 4700S one, including the M.2 slots.
no it seems,at least as per the leaked specification still x4 but dont know which gen,if its gen 3 them mid range cards can comfortable run on x4 gen 3. I feel the price is too high, a 8 core zen 2 based cpu and mobo and 16 gigs of ram comes out cheaper with more features. unless they price this at below 25k imo this is a nogo4700s had the x16 slot configured as PCIE 2.0 x4
Is the 4800s going to improve that?
If they do then decent midrange cards could make a very nice build
