It's time to chnage my car : what do users of Fronx, Baleno, and new swift / dzire say??

JMak

Yeah.. I am at it ;)

Right so, I have been putting off buying a new car out of various reasons (the real one is I am lazy).. Secondly I was not able to find any car that has the similar height as of ritz and is priced right...

As my trusted ritz would enter it's last year of life after September (it's a sep 2011 model, driver for less than 1L always got serviced at all needed from company service centers) , I thought I should start looking.

I am only willing to buy a suzuki for obvious reasons
Looking into baleno, swift and fronx,

Was wondering if people here are driving any of these.. Would appreciate a feedback if possible.

About my daily driving routine...
Daily drive of like 25km in delhi..
Occasionally once a week it can go upto 40km

I don't drive much out of the city..
May be once or twice a year to my ancestral place which is around 50km from my home

I like to zip through when I can so a bit pepper response would be great from the car.

As always I would like to keep it sanely in budget

Thanks

Baleno = too low
You'll not like it after a Ritz tall seating

Fronx = nice
You had to bring this up, didn't you
This was the second reason I was not changing, nothing was matching the height of seating of ritz in a decent price segment..

Fronx isn't tall as well.. Just 50mm taller.. Haven't checked the seating height tbh..

My preference is a 1200cc car, brezza might have fit but it's mileage is very very ordinary owing to 1400cc engine and price is pinchy
Anyone else?

Suzuki for obvious reasons ? You mean less than 3 ncap rating ? I don’t understand why people buy cheap build quality Suzuki .

Agreed, but my reasons for suzuki is..
Their engines no matter what are much refined and perform very very well. (that's my experience)
Their after sales is good, spares are cheap and readily available.
Have couple of service centers where my known tos have a decent say..
Aftesales expenses are much less as compared to others..
The safely ratings are getting better though not as good as Tata cars..
What about the Wagon R?
The Hyundai Exter also seems to have a tall boy design.
Na it ll be a downgrade for me.. Though the 1200 cc variant is very good to drive( don't know if it's being made anymore) but I don't prefer it

These days you have to be careful, you are expressing your opinion, which is direct opposite of what the thread is about. People here will flag you and tell you to create a new thread for this very reason, indicating that you are derailing the thread.

I have been called on doing this in the past two days. Just a heads up. I am not sure if there is a rule about this on the forum or not, this is a very grey area. Also I am very confused.

I dont have issue with constructive criticism ..
But TBH I would mind your comment as its completely off topic.
This thing you could have said to the other member via PM as well..
You comment doesn't add anything to this thread

Now a days most accidents happen not because of your mistake because of others mistake . And it will be getting more worse in coming years . But yeah your life your preference.

To make a suggestion, one needs to know your budget
Asking users of fronx, baleno, swift and dzire about how they feel about their cars.. what does budget has to do with that ?

Indeed, your observation is noted
Thanks

I’ve been checking out a few cars myself lately—just asked about your budget in case I could suggest something worth looking into, apart from the options you’ve already mentioned.

Wait until July before the New EV Policy comes, especially for Delhi, and BS7 is implemented for the whole country. BS7 will increase car prices, but BS6 OBD2/B variant unsold stock may be offered at a much cheaper price.

Now thats some music for my hard cartilaginous ears ..
as it is i am lazy when it comes to deviating from my daily routine ;) would have taken another two months just to test drive all these variants :)
Love you

Is the Ignis not on your list? its the closest you can get to the ritz experience i would imagine.

Else i guess the Baleno is would be the cheapest from the suzuki 4 cylinder lot. You will get used to the seating position in no time.

Ignis felt crammed , though it has bigger tyers and is muich cheaper.. but its narrower and looks smaller than ritz and even baleno for that matter..
a year back i was making my mind for it

Doesn't the '24 Dzire have a 5-star rating, this time around?

It's actually a very enticing package, with better safety to boot.

TBH I am not going to spend anymore than 8.5L, but cheaper the better..
The new-gen Dzire is a solid option overall. The 3-cylinder engine might be a letdown for some, but it offers decent low-end torque and great highway mileage (21–23 km/l). It’s a well-rounded package for city use. I’d recommend taking a test drive to see how it feels in real conditions.

You sure? If July is the deadline to implement BS7 norms, it could be the final nail in the coffin for many car manufacturers, given the current scenario.
