Yeah, S1 was more serious, less over the top and had quite a few top notch episodes like the BBQ joint one, the trucker or the one with Joseph Gordon Levitt. S2 so far has been over the top, forcefully funny and in general worse.
So help me Todd : On Hotstar, a lighthearted detective comedy from the mother son duo.

In S1 stories were the star, Protagonaist was a side kick. The balance seems to have changed in S2.

Plots too were a bit elaborate in S1.

MobLand S01 - Episode 8... the twists and turns! Someone has nicely turned up the flame now... things are about to explode soon.

Also, scenes between Harry and Eddie are always super intense. Tom Hardy's acting is superb. The man has a seriously cold, unnerving stare.

Mobland is shaping up pretty well....
Tom Hardy's character is the pivot tbh.

Do check Taboo (2017) it's fantastic, also stars Tom Hardy in the main lead

Coming back to MobLand... I'm waiting for Harry (Tom Hardy) to finally shred his calm demeanor and explode very soon! His entire calm yet passively aggressive persona so far is like the quiet lull before the storm.

Don't judge me please. I've been hearing a lot about this show, but as someone who hasn't watched ANY of the Star Wars franchise movies or shows, can I watch this? Or will I be completely lost?

Yes, you can watch this without the others.
If you are worried about the order then Andor Seasons 1 and 2 sets up Rogue One : A Star Wars story which in turn leads to the OG threequel from George Lucas.
The entire franchise in chronological order -

I'm someone who had not watched any of star wars until now so I think I might be the right person to answer your question. You should at least watch the first 6 movies first (either in release order or chronological order, both are valid ways to watch)
I haven't watched Andor yet (just finished Mandalorian S2) but I'm sure there will be some references in it that you will appreciate more if you have watched the main movies. Also why rush to watch a spinoff when you can savour this excellent franchise in the intended way. Do watch Rogue One as well since they are both connected.
All this can be binged in a few days to a week max depending on your availability of free time of course.

No need for that. You can watch Andor Season 1 & 2 and then if you want you can watch Rogue One.
You will need to excuse the first episodes of both seasons but then sh*t gets real.
Arguably the best depiction of the moral ambiguity in a rebellion and the personal sacrifices needed for something like that to succeed.

All of these are prequels to the original 6 movies by George Lucas but keep in mind you might be underwhelmed by the Lucas movies once you see Andor.
And less said about other Disney movies/tv shows in SW universe the better.

Andor is probably best, but i loved clone wars long ago - and - recently rebels was pretty good and bad batch seems to be more of the same. Both rebels and bad batch are post disney.
Dave Filoni + animation seems to be the common factor.

After force awakens ( which i absolutely hate and haven't watched following 2), i had low hopes but atleast there is some good stuff.
Mandalorian could have been nice, it has some very good episodes scattered among mediocre ones and S3 was very boring

If someone is committed to watch all of SW, maybe watch in release order, skip skywalker sagas, and keep andor for the end only followed by Rogue One ( which is average but continues from andor).

Subjective obviously, to me Rogue One was Andor before Andor came. I don't know if I'm making sense, but Andor just upped the bar. Rogue One is still one of the best SW movies for me. Still gives me goosebumps when I think of that one scene I was lucky enough to experience in theater.

yeah subjective obviously.
I watched it again after rewatching Andor S1 and then new season, and again felt the same.
Its ok movie for me, much worse than something like Andor and much better than force awakens which did not even feel like sw and was just copy pasting shit in a horrible way.

So it was a relief to watch R1 back when i first watched it but i see it more as a one time watch for me. It just seems so similar to so many other action movies with things jumping around, but in a reasonably well done star wars setting. I prefer original 3, clone wars and even the 2000 prequels to R1/solo movie ( maybe 1 and esp 2 were okayish with lots of issues but 1 had maul and one of the best fights in the series )
Clone wars expanded well on the 3 movies.

I also like jar jar binks :), dont care if everyone hates him.
