Completed: Metro 2033.

Put Cyberpunk on hold, since I'll start GoW Ragnarok once it unlocks in a few days. Decided to re-play Metro 2033 again for the first time since 2011. Back then I had an ATI Radeon HD 5750. The 4A engine is extremely taxing, even today. With 8x AA and maxed-out settings, it brings my 3080 to sub 70fps every now and then :hungover:. Such a brilliant game, even today.

Started: Metro Last Light

8x AA seems overkill though vs smoother higher framerates. Could add DLDSR which works well for AA too.

Exodus is very good too but might take 50+ hours. Its different and more open, but overall i think it was the best of the three. All good games.
Also it has some nice RT bounce lightning around fires and such.

I finished Exodus back in 2019 when it came out on my (then GPU) 5700XT. Can't wait to replay it with some RTX bling

Looks quite nice, some of it ( esp sam's dlc ) looks close to photorealistic. And the bounce lightning looked cool and ran fast.
Also, DLDSR was mandatory for that game else it looked terrible in motion.
I kinda wish now that i had waited more and played it at 4k.

This used to be my ringtone for some time

Completed Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 (PC).

I went Solo and it gets extremely overwhelming at times with the sheer number of enemy hordes that this game throws at you. It's still a blast to play though because the shooting mechanics and weapon sounds are fantastic! Also, the kill animations are very satisfying. It's just one of those games that frustrates you with the difficulty of taking down exponentially large number of enemies but still keeps you addicted and makes you comeback for more! One thing that would have made the experience better is when playing Solo if only your AI driven teammates actually did do something useful. They are mostly hopelessly bad against taking down Tyranid forces.

If you can go the Co-Op way then by ALL means go for that mode. The experience will be leaps and bounds better vs going Solo.

Picked up the new release, The Plucky Squire!
It runs pretty optimized and is beautiful to look at. I am currently at the start of the 4th Chapter and it is a delight to play. Fresh, aptly paced, and adorable in its art style. The diffulty even at its hardest is pretty much a breeze though considering it's intended for a younger audience but the puzzles are fun and relaxing.
