Anybody got this? No reviews anywhere so far, Worth it or heats too much? Might be harmful to the ssd
I got this in Aug for 889.00 for a project, working well so far. It gets warm when in continuous use, but nothing scary.
The build quality is cheap but seems to work fine. Now there are many options under 1K but they weren't there when I purchased it.
For 499/- I feel it's a good deal, if you can spend around 1K, there are better options.

Amazonbasics' quality has gone down significantly in recent months, but you can still get some good deals if you know what to buy and what to avoid.
Unfortunately most of their "made in India" products are landfill quality, and some of their made in China electronics is also bad...
But I have gotten some good electronics products that have served really well... few things are still very good deal and I regularly buy, Alkaline batteries, coin cells, HDMI, Audio connector and USB cables.
I have bought some USB Thumb Drives and SD cards and using them for more than a year, they are working fine so far.
Although some of their products have deteriorated in terms of quality in recent times, my overall my experience with Amazonbasics is still largely positive so I still take chances with this brand.

In case anyone is looking for a 2.5 HDD case, this is a good option.

This uses common Type C interface unlike most other others (they use less common Micro B cable).

its cheap but dont expect USB C speeds but only USB 3 speeds . I had purchased long back thinking will get USB C speeds while using my SSD . Got same 100Mbps transfer speeds instead of 500 Mbps from my SSD

I have this, heats up at usage of more than 10 Mins
Mine just got delivered..
All my ssds are running os hence no way to test..
But based on your feedback and seeing only 2 reviews and both negative, despite amazon claiming more than 500 sold in last one month... I am sensing something fishy..
The build and everything seems solid though but still I am returning it..

As for 2.5inch enclosure I can vouch for the Cablet ones they retail at 399 but currently selling at 349, they are good

Limited-time deal: Cablet 2.5 Inch SATA USB 3.0 HDD/SSD Portable External Enclosure for 7mm and 9.5mm, Tool-Free Design, Supports UASP Max 6TB, Y-Design https://amzn.in/d/avUjmeV

@349
There are two versions with different outer casing both similar, with similar price
