Samsung S23 or A55 ?

Both S23 (8GB+256) & A55 (8GB+256) for 43k

For 3k more you can get the A55 with12GB+256

Both will get four OS upgrades but the A55 starts at 14 whereas the S23 launched with 13

The A55's battery will beat galaxy S+ (let alone S) models for half the price if you accept a slightly less capable camera.

Did I mention the A55 comes with a microSD slot.

It's possible the A55's price will reduce further but the S23 might not be available later.

I'm also wondering whether the FK S23 offer can be trusted as Amazon can't match it for much more?

And Samsung wants 70k on their site for the same specs S23

Same with me, bought the S23 for compact size, I have never used a case or screen protector for a phone in my life.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is a better perfoming phone, a flagship phone which has now reduced in price. The battery life might not be great, screen size may be small, but man that is a solid good phone for it's price. If you don't buy it know, it might be gone forever (S25 series is around the corner).

But as a user of the Samsung A55 and also the Samsung A35, there are some touch issues (more noticable with a screen protector). The phone sometimes wont register touch input for a second. That's why we use it in high sensitivity mode.

The camera tricks were useful for us. I was new to the phone and teaching someone else was another trouble. The video was helpful.

I know fingerprints were a tad messy with Screen protector. I think it depends on which one you got. A thinner one has less troubles. I remember getting one with black borders for Samsung A33 for a friend in a local shop in Mumbai and boy did it really mess with the phone usage. Thankfully we replaced it with a normal one and it was perfect.

The company is desiging the phone to look good in ads. Utility of the design isn't a factor.

You can get thin cases that will not give any impression of added bulk. They will keep the scratches off but that one inadvertent drop might do damage.

I don't want to worry about this. People drop phones. That is normal. I would figure a way to protect them from it.

Read the article linked it really puts the lie into your first quote which I've been hearing since forever.

If i think about the last time i used a phone naked it was with the LG G4 and leather backs. You never had the sense of ever dropping the phone and the gentle curve of that was so good in the hand. I did use other protective cases but nothing beat those leather backs for grip, comfort & style. Real leather too not fake.

I can't take this article at face value, and I can't change his (or your) mind about the topic either. Frankly, I don't want to, I don't care if you use a case or don't, not my phone, not my business and that reflects in my initial message as well.

I don't dislike the glass sandwich, and the frosted back glass feels good in my hand, I've not had a problem with it slipping. If it does slip, and breaks, that's on me. I'd prefer an all metal shell (like my OnePlus 5, which frankly was even more slippery with its anodized aluminum back), but then wireless charging doesn't work. I absolutely dislike the plastic/glastic texture.

What is colour point?


On another subject deciding whether to go with 50MP or 12MP depends on the light available.

50MP in good light will preserve more details. However as light gets less like indoor or low light you might get more blur unless you hold steady so 12MP might be better.

You will have to experiment

Those creuselites went for around $10 back in the day.


Max did such a good job with these drop tests. I've yet to see any better cheap phone case drop tests since.

No tpg. Case does everything.
