Monitors 4k Monitor suggestions.

Hi guys, I'm new here so please excuse any mistakes.

I'm looking to buy a new 4k monitor to replace my 11 years old HD+ monitor. I want a future proof monitor.
This is what I'm looking for in the monitor-
Budget - under 45k
Resolution - 4k.
Refresh Rate - =>120 hz.
Features - HDR (Preferably 600 or 1000). Don't want HDR400 since I've heard it can't even be considered true HDR.
Size - >27".

My use case will be mostly Games and Movies.
I have looked online but since I have extremely limited experience with monitors, I'm having a hard time deciding what to buy.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

If you're fine with 60Hz there is this one for sale in the market section...

There is a deficit of monitors that cater to those requirements in that price range. It's an enthusiast segment, and it seems like the manufacturers are focusing all of their efforts on expensive OLED monitors to cater to it (I don't think most of their current range can hit those higher HDR standards though).

There are a few interesting LED TVs these days however. I can't say if its local dimming might even be worth turning on, but if it isn't too big for you, when available, with card discounts, Vu Masterpiece Frame 55 inches (2025) could fall within your budget and be worth considering: https://www.amazon.in/Vu-inches-Masterpiece-55QMP-24-Armani/dp/B0DH8984MM

No, I'm looking for atleast 120hz since I do play some e-sports title and 60hz just isn't good enough.

TV's are too big for my use case since I'll be using the monitor on my desk so a 55 inch 4k will look pretty bad.
Might I recommend Acer XV275K P3. It constantly goes in and out of stock here and on few other retailers. I use it almost daily and can answer any questions you may have.
This seems to be the best choice. It's a little out of my budget though. It's for 49500 on the acer website and out of stock everywhere else. I'll see if I can find it anywhere offline.
I do have some questions, thanks for offering to answer them.
1) How is the HDR quality of the monitor?
2) I've heard that on 27" 4k is not worth it, is that true?
3) I saw a couple of reviews for this monitor and they complained about the controls and having to constantly change from HDR to SDR manually. Is that an issue you are facing?

I got it for INR 42k back in August (listed on amazon for 47k with w/ 5k discount on SBI CC):
  1. It's a true HDR capable display. I haven't measured the luminosity but it's certainly brighter than my M1 Pro Macbook which also comes with a mini led display. There's occasional blooming in dark environments but the brightness compensates for it. What irks me more is it can't get very dim. The bright scenes pop so much that they crush shadow details in dark scenes. It's still miles better than any IPS/VA, and very near an OLED but not quite. But given it costs half as much, I can accept that.
  2. Comes down to preference. If you're asking if one can notice sharpness/quality difference between 1440p 27 and 4k 27; it's fairly noticeable to me. Though I'd have loved 32in version of this monitor.
  3. In my experience it's not Acer, it's Windows. The monitor correctly switches between HDR on Mac, even my gf's Galaxy Tab. It's only the windows where if you select auto HDR, it goes berserk. What I do is keep PC in SDR during general workload, and switch manually to HDR during games/content consumption. It takes three button presses to go from SDR to HDR, but you can also do it through Acer Display Widget. It's mildly inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion and the detailed answers. I'll be on the lookout for a good price on this monitor then as it seems to be the only option that has all the things that I desire.

Happy to help. Another thing I really appreciate about this monitor that no one talks about is in built KVM. I have a Logitech unifying receiver (for mouse and keyboard) and an external HDD connected to the USB ports of the monitor monitor, which can be used across all connected peripherals. Makes file sharing between Mac and Windows extremely easy.

Seems like a good choice, can read its detailed review:

1 con is it lacks a single overdrive mode experience with good response time across all refresh rate, but "off" setting should be enough for most.
