I recently sold a OP12 to a local buyer .. and he kept insisting on seeing the original email from OP with the invoice as against the saved invoice PDF that I showed him.
I was not quite sure why.. I found it annoying in fact… but I guess he was right in asking for this .
I know I am going against the broader sentiment here - but a Bajaj finance/ any other easy EMI provider won’t go through the effort and cost of implementing something like this unless their bad debt ratios were shooting up…
Friggin lowlife EMI scammers / return policy scammers / general customer friendly policy abusers have more to do with the current sad state of affairs for the broader consumer populace in India

Value for money. Is what you paid for the tablet initially + the outstanding EMI low enough to justify the trouble you faced?
No, I got absolutely scammed. Ended up paying 35k extra for the tablet.
Luckily I had a physical copy of the receipt, else this would just been an expensive brick. The Samsung folks only helped me since I had the receipt. I'm surprised there was no mention of the EMI on there.
That doesn't make any sense though, right? They invoice basically states that the complete amount was paid.

^If invoice is from Amazon/Flipkart - they do mention Credit card/emi as payment method in order details.
Otherwise it would be best to ask seller to show proof of complete payment made if seller claims of full payment.

This has already been answered When you cannot boot into the OS itself how are you even going to flash a rom but only if you already have flashed a custom recovery then things might get interesting..

There's no way you can flash a custom rom on stock recoveries at all in phone dead mode.
Forget the rom!
Even if you flash the original stock rom, once booted in the os and connected to the net your phone's gonna get brand locked again!

I have no idea, this is the first time I'm hearing about devices being blocked by financiers, only way to prevent these kind of issues, ask the proof of purchase, soft or hard invoice copy, if it's on EMI, it will be mentioned on the invoice.

Always check the billing and if possible the account statement of the Loan, also an NOC would be good . Afaik u can check loan status in IDFC website as well .
it's an ongoing loan. if he fails to pay can idfc lock the phone like samsung? these loans are done on store may be those loan agents install some apps post purchase.

With iPhone you are safe they cannot block/lock it. Apple will never let anyone put any 3rd party software in their OS.
