Phone bought off olx locked after original owner did not pay the EMI

Sell it off will be my valuable advise and then get a band new one! Peace of mind matters most than money in such circumstances..
It's working fine now and I was able to delete the finance app. The Samsung folks confirmed that I won't face any more issues.
I don't want to waste any more cash on this, so I'll just keep it

I recently sold a OP12 to a local buyer .. and he kept insisting on seeing the original email from OP with the invoice as against the saved invoice PDF that I showed him.
I was not quite sure why.. I found it annoying in fact… but I guess he was right in asking for this .

I know I am going against the broader sentiment here - but a Bajaj finance/ any other easy EMI provider won’t go through the effort and cost of implementing something like this unless their bad debt ratios were shooting up…
Friggin lowlife EMI scammers / return policy scammers / general customer friendly policy abusers have more to do with the current sad state of affairs for the broader consumer populace in India :(

Value for money. Is what you paid for the tablet initially + the outstanding EMI low enough to justify the trouble you faced?
No, I got absolutely scammed. Ended up paying 35k extra for the tablet.
Luckily I had a physical copy of the receipt, else this would just been an expensive brick. The Samsung folks only helped me since I had the receipt. I'm surprised there was no mention of the EMI on there.

Yes. They don't mention EMIs on the bill.

Another gentle reminder to stay cautious with OLX deals. If you have any suspicions, it's better to avoid them. I learned the hard way after getting scammed by someone who sold me an iCloud-locked iPhone.
