I agree here with Trajan. But if you want 5.1 setup, get a Philips DVD/DivX/MPEG4 player for 4.5k (dont remember the exact model no.) and Logitech Z5300 for 11k;)

get a Philips SBC HP 805 for 1k and get a cheap standalone mic:)

That is bass:S , that is boom boom only. ATP3 is at par whan compared to X-230 anyday. And its not the bass what an audiophile seek for, rather its accurate sound.:) I think you got the point. @killeraim= get the ATP3 and save some cash:hap2: else get the VS4121 for nearly the same price...

Dude just get the ATP3.... Excellent VFM Dont go for 5.1, 2.1 will be a very good choice for ur budget range.

^^^ That is an excellent product dude;) . IMO Digit Forum reviews are crap. and actually every 5.1 setup requires a little bit of tweak in the settings to get best sound out of if (he also mentioned the same), like positioning the satelites and the sub. I was not promoting the Altec, but...

You can checkout VS4121, CS21 and 621 (if it's still available) if you want Altec lansing, though all are 2.1 system but will blow any of the 5.1 in your budget range specially the 621 if you can get it. If you want a 5.1, IMO logitech X-530 is a good candidate.
