Is that true? I was under the impression these guys just paid a flat rate based on bandwidth (and not data usage) to whoever they lease the backbone connection from. Putting data limits on end users might be a way of extracting more from the same amount of bandwidth though.

Have had problems since last evening. The connection randomly goes down for ~30 minutes. Called them this morning and they made me change the dns servers - seems to be working fine now.

Regarding the hiss, it is definitely there, but I don't even notice it any more. And as someone pointed out, under normal use you don't need to crank up the volume more than 2/5th of maximum.

How much is a small fortune? My WD passport crashed yesterday and I have some 120 gb of movies, tv series and music on that - downloading again would be a major pain!

Jagged Alliance 2 - a blend of real time and turn based strategy. Easily one of the best tactical games I have played. The wildfire expansion is really tough, but also takes care of many of the bugs in the original.

I had the same problem with my Liteon and setting the transport mode to UDMA 5 didn't help. After a bit of googling I flashed it to the latest firmware and that seemed to fix the problem. You should consider this if adjusting the transport mode doesn't help.
