Well the WD passport works in all 3 usb ports (without the MyBook connected). Same goes for the WD MyBook. Only when they are connected together, the 1 which is connected first works. Both drives work fine together on another laptop, so u dont think i need to initialize either but i'll try...

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Dell Studio 15. Today i tried to connect a WD passport and WD MyBook together on the laptop but only 1 of the 2 show up in the explorer. Both drives show up in the device manager but i can access only 1 of them. Any ideas how to trouble shoot or what to do?

@thetoxicmind : I am using a Sandisk Ultra SDHC card with my Fujifilm S1500, it definately feels faster than a regular SDHC card. Also when the card is used to view or transfer photos via a card reader, it definately is faster than a regular SDHC card.
