I dont find there is much difference in 20.1 and 22, but when it comes to load on GC .. 22" with full resolution is quite high. Get a better quality (type of panel,response time,viewing angle) 20.1 than a 22 And you GC can support 22" happily. At last .. LCD price and specs are really going...

Dont touch your existing HDD .. get a new one and clone each partition it using some of those drive backup tool. (Ghost). It should be safe as well as wont damange ur sick HDD. Once you are confirm of everything then do anything u like to do with old HDD :)

Simple Partition Magic lets you do that. It will create partition from your free space. make sure you have ups or anything similar. If power goes in b/w of the process you will lose everything. I was screwed once. Lappy .. battery drained so lappy turn off suddenly.

Clean install is the best go .. save time .. and save more time for future .. i never had good experience restoring windows or re installing windows.
