Looking for an alternative product with comparable features as the amplifi alien.
Objective: Need a router(preferred)/access point for extended the wifi coverage in an office. Budget is not really an issue since corp is paying for it, so something around 200/300 USD works.
Imp: The router/access point should not depend on cloud, such as unifi connect etc. It should be functional even without internet access and should support manual updates.
Current Considerations: GL Inet Flien 3e (Not sure how much it will cost post import), GWN7062E
Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 will suit your use case scenario.
It can be updated manually
If you have a static IP, you can access it directly without cloud account and manage it. But you cannot manage it remotely if you are behind CG-NAT so having publicly routable IP is mandatory. Or access it locally.
Yes it is definitely functional on LAN without internet access.
It costs $279 + $15 local US shipping. If you can use a forwarding service, customs and shipping can be managed for another $50 or get a relative to get it for you.
There are two options first get a UDR7 it has 10G WAN/LAN ports with PoE ports also you can run all UniFi network with APs and then second option will be UniFi express 7 both should be imported from US.
