[BREAK=The Moser Baer Result]

Moser Baer Scan Results

I can not say that they have performed excellent but they are very decent scans expect for the glitches and the high PIE and PIF in the end for the disc. The disc over all seemed to have performed fine.

Taiyo Yuden Scan Results

The scans compared to the moser baer media are better in all aspects. They win hands down. The so called hype is worth every penny spent on it, the difference between the two being good for a price difference that’s actually next to non existence.

Verdict : Get THE TAIYO YUDENS :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Nice and a clean review there  Repped :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

try scratching the dvds with scotchbrite and rerun the pi/po scans

nha i wont do that. i care too much for my dvds. eh… may be later on some time i post in a 6 months old review comparing the new and old scans but please thats sounds insane for the dvds

i like the last page in the review the most :face_with_tongue:

even sony media beats MB hollow. with TY’s , its a no contest :face_with_tongue:

it’s so unfair that it shouldnt have even been done in the first place

here am linking in a sony dvd scan .

IIRC, were you the one sourcing verbatims/mitsubishi’s from delhi? If so, compare those to the TY’s instead.

well i would have done that surely . and i will in the near future when i do go to NP. expect that soon.

@Eddy, I have the Mitsu +R’s, will upload the scans later, and while the PIE peaks are higher then this, the total no. of PIE’s are lesser, atleast on my BenQ.

Maybe with the BenQ the TY’s can burn better, if not i’d say in a head to head competition both TY’s and Mitsu’s are winners.

^^ hey dude you done with your partin and stuff lemme know when its over may be then i can plan out comin to your place. i dropped it as of now coz am still waiting for the tl120 ex

AFAIK there’s a lot of debate over which is the better media - TY or the Verb MCC media. Thats why was asking for a head to head comparison between the two

yup that will be surely done. i will be out to deepaks place with my rig . so we can compare both medias on 2 different set of writers .

wow … looks like my mony well spend :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@ 200mph,

how did you do the disk quality test? when i put some media in the drive, that button to “start” the test cant be clicked for me

^ what dvdrw u got some of them dont have the scan options. the lg series dont afaik

ha ha…nicely done…

TY is the best out there…i have a spindle of TY disks but not able to scan the burned ones :(..my drive(lg h42n) doesn’t support scanning.

Ah no wonder.. Darn..!

:joy: the title suggested somthing contrary to the verdict
