Good speakers for pc/home use in 3k budget possible?

Then you must be fine with a dell sound bar for monitors .

You can get used ones for 500 .

These don’t have any bass at all, is what I heard from a few reviews.

You can stick the satellites with double sided tapes . For the sub woofer , it does not have to be on ground . It can be up the attic . I have the subwoofer fixed to the table .

Are you fine with DIY ? You could get a TPA amp and a flat sub woofer which can be fixed to the desk on the side . Stick a couple of 3-4 inch drivers and a 5 inch sub ? It would cost a bit more , but the sound would be worth the effort .

This one sucks for movie or music I personally use. The sound is very muddy and vocals are not at all clear

Usually, I feel things made by those companies are much better than these DIYs, just my opinion. We have to source these parts for DIY experiments and we don’t know the sound quality until we buy and test.

I tried DIY repair of an old F&D speakers, it later blew up (not a blast).

This is what I am using since 3 years for my desktop PC and this are working great.

Before switching to a 2.1 setup I had Google home speaker as desktop alternative and it worked very very well.

Awesome bass and clarity, just right notion overpowering or tiring

But in my view nothing can match a good decent 2.1 setup no matter what

I got these at last sale. Superb value at sale price. But yes, the signature is not bass heavy.

Not in case of budget speakers. DIY will give far better results when compared to off the shelf products but DIY is rabbit hole and too intimidating, IMO. Sourcing good quality drivers is also a head ache. Just sticking up drivers wont give the results, tuning is very very important. You will have to use EQ as you wont be able to use crossover in this budget range.

If you are in Mumbai , you can try this Woofer Archives - ElectroCarts

No . If you know what you are doing then I can with clarity tell you that DIY can get you better speakers . Especially around the vocal range . The closest thing or alternative used to be creative or cambridge sound . Those are long gone though .

If you need help with DIY there are quite a few resourceful guys on TE and I can also give you suggestions .

I remember you were the one who bought some mivi speakers no?

Even This is good website to source driver but do confirm with them regarding stock before ordering. I have ordered a couple of drivers from them in past.

Yes , the guy is really nice , but he is from Chennai .

Well it was a Mivi soundbar for tv not for desktop, it’s doing what it was needed for

Have a Blaupunkt soundbar with dedicated subwoofer that sounds amazing with another TV and echo dot.

I have a plethora of speakers really.. But a dedicated 2.1 will definitely go a long way in satisfying the audio pleasure needs.

You may check these, creative speqkers are good and if they sound to your liking you can even haggle for price as it’s olx lol

I’ve found this on OLX. What do you think? Creative 2.1 speakers www.olx.in/item/creative-21-speakers-iid-1818213649

Here is another one pretty dirt cheap

I’ve found this on OLX. What do you think? CREATIVE SUBWOOFER AND SPEAKER www.olx.in/item/creative-subwoofer-and-speaker-iid-1817025328

This is the only reason I am not able to choose that form factor :backhand_index_pointing_down:

I would say jump in and get the tribit you wont be disappointed. Decision paralysis is real. You can use your monitor speaker for regular use and switch to tribit when you want to watch movie or listen to music that way you wont have to worry about battery degradation too.

Then 2x tribit is a good bet, they I deed sound nice, not sure about bass though

Agree with decision paralysis.

Monitor speakers aren’t working. If battery comes for a year then it’s fine, I can diy and swap out another 18650 battery, as these days batteries are easily available.

Currently considering the tribit one and creative se mini. Searching for Anker Souncore 2, but it seems not available at actual price.

If looking for clear audio and not boomy bass, these should suffice -

Else step up your budget for Edifier bookshelves.
