Rs 29,999 starting. Rs 999 reserve.
this does not look easy to carry around but packs lot of power for sure.
if we calculate in terms of powerbank capacity…how much would this be?

If it is close to a Tesla Powerwall, I will buy it.

Did all this five years ago
Given their QC, it’s better to wait and see how they perform before jumping the gun.
Why are they not providing the life cycle for these power packs, which is needed to calculate their life expectancy. They say lifespan of 8 years, but how they calculated that? Is that is calculated at full cycle everyday, I would buy it.
Generally when a device is calculated with lifespan of say 5 years and all.
They calculate it as 1 cycle per day( that is you will be using 365x times)
However, it can all depend of average or other factors
So better to read terms.
If you saw their burning and exploding scooters and thought, I want that tech in my house close to my family. Boy do they have a solution for you.
But in early days those Chinese phones and samsung phones use to also explode and catch fires.
People still continue to buy.
Samsung phone ( I forgot the model) was not allowed by any flights. The cases were so high.
I second that. Their track record over the years ![]()
Galaxy Note 7. My Uncle was asked to deboard the flight lol. I remember the crap show
I’ve booked the 1,59,999 variant for my 6kw solar setup. However i’ve gotten 3 calls in the past 3 days from ola customer support thanking me for showing interest in ola scooter. I’ve told them many times that i dont want the scooter, i’ve booked the battery.
I too thank you for the support that you have shown in this product and soon going to be our very own reviewer once you receive the product. And that you please grace us with your time and effort in answering all our queries. Also pray that nothing bad ever happens to your place.
Ola as a company is someone like who wants to grow at a rapid pace but in doing so they tend to forget their old/existing products. And this is what makes them bad as a reliable product manufacturers.
When you launch a product especially automobiles in their case, your responsibility doesn’t end with the launch, you also need to provide good customer service, where they lack badly. There are others also in the same shoes (Aether) but they’re doing much better.
Now if such company launches any new product, I would be ultra cautious before buying it. This is just my opinion for Ola.
Wow! straight going for top end.
Sahi hai bhai.
Do share your review. It will help members here ,
I agree with you but bhai…Indian mein 70% companies dont back their products with good and strong customer support.
Cant blame Ola alone .
Most powerbank companies in India ship their products with offer of giving back Rs 50-100 if you right good review for them on Amazon and flipkart and that Rs 50 /Rs 100 never comes.
I remember buying this DJI osmo adapter from a company in India . Whose website I found on google. I am forgetting the name but I will look for it.
I order COD. The person called and said - Sir we are booking for COD but you will buy it for sure. I said yes. But I asked him what if It does not work.
Don’t worry we will replace it for you and ship you new product or refund.
I said fine.
Before it arrived. I had already bought a another product that worked with my action camera. But I kept my word and so got it and it did not work.
I send many emails to them . tried calling but no reply.
I mean the value of customer care and support in India is …
If we talk specifically about automobile manufactures, after sales is like backbone of any company. Other Indian manufacturers like Bajaj, tvs, hero they all know this and are doing great.
And Ola on the other hand, even with a very good head start, are at 5th place if we talk about electric 2 wheelers sales figures. And audacity of the team/ceo, they still keep launching new products.
Ola’s 4680 cell claims life cycle of more that 1000 cycles. That is roughly 3 years. They claim there Shakti BESS have life span of 8 years.
Next time they call you, ask them how they arrived at the lifespan of 8 years for their Shakti BESS.
This shakti pack has the same battery layout as their motorcycle according to their launch video.
So since the bikes and scooter packs have a 8 year warranty. They are just passing it here.
But since this one has a MPPT charge controller inside and a inverter. It’s cheaper than competition. The 9kWh version is roughly equal to a 4x 200AH lead acid solar battery. The lead acid battery alone would cost about 75k. Add a 6kW solar inverter and a battery box, battery breaker cost 1 lakh. To a total of 1.75 lakh.
So Ola solution is cheaper. Once they start making LFP which they hinted at the ola battery day. It will drop further in price.
But for energy storage Sodium batteries will make more sense. It will be cheaper and it’s cycle life at least from CATL is much higher than LFP.
Thats is very well explained.
Just hoping like their scooters and motorbike . these dont catch fire.
