Does the 3kw one look like it could be wall mounted? Hope they release more specs soon.

I am just gonna look at what the competition can cook up against OLA. For now OLA shares will jump up and down once again. Fingers crossed. From what @adder explained above, this is surely cheaper if Inverter is also included in the above. Also LFP manufacture if perfected is also welcome.

OLA has their own battery factory now. I don’t think any other EV companies in India have their own battery plant.

It was blown way out of proportion. Almost twenty years earlier the crew were trained to deal with laptop fires. Laptop batteries much bigger than a phone battery isn’t it.

Their training videos in the US at the time recommended to throw liquids on a smouldering Lion battery. Quick, effective and practical.

I’d be surprised if you ever get a review. Did you see his join date?

You know how you can see ads if you say or write you like or want something.

Well, that guy showed up shortly after this thread was created.

This section attracts drive by posters for at least a decade now.

recently on chinese plane.

No drama explanation by the FAA

Looks like they’ve updated it for the present.

And smaller batteries in phones and tablets means less risk

Not a big deal

It accepts more KW on DC; does it mean it can charge faster on solar than AC?

Also, how would it work exactly in an off-grid solar setup?

Considering it is Ola, it’ll sell like 4 units at the introductory price.

I’ll just wait for some actual users review before purchase, the design looks good and ecoflow models are expensive in India. I hope they work as they advertised.

Please avoid this, and other products from Ola. I have a scooter, barely run 5k km, and apparently the MCU is conked. 70+ scooters there at the service center, with half of them for battery replacement and half for motor replacement, lying there from 2-3 months minimum. I am preparing for the same.

And to even get a service slot, I tried via the app, customer service, everything possible, and I tried it for a week+ when my scooter is unmovable. Finally had to post on Twitter, only then did they raise a Service ticket for me and then got an appointment.

Please, I request everyone here, DO NOT BUY OLA. Don’t buy any of their products, they will sell you the product and then good luck. You will get NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT or ANY AFTERSALES.

Thanks for sharing @heven

So this is how bad their service is.

Guys, just buy ecoflow ..it is still on sale.

And so far their customer care has been very responsive.

I got email from their USA department team to follow up on status of my query from their Indian team.

That’s next level stuff.

Thank you for sharing your first hand experience. I was also trying to convey the same but lack a first hand experience.

Ola shakti isn’t comparable to Ecoflow. Both are different types of products.

If I’m not mistaken, Ola shakti doesn’t have a direct comparable alternative.

Usually MPPT charge controller inside off grid solar inverter is rated higher than the inverter part. Because some of them may have house facing north or south and with surrounding buildings or trees which causes shaded panels, so they may need two set of panel string facing east and west. Even other wise, during sunrise and sunset or cloudy days when they produce little power. Having 10Kw of solar will atleast produce 1 to 2kw on cloudy days, which is good enough for most appliances.

Also if you have a 10kw of solar mppt controller depending on the design. You could be using say 5kw to solar power for the inverter part to power the load and 5kw to charge the battery.

For charging with AC it will usually be limited to 0.5C or 1C, considering the battery is air cooled. But my guess is it will be 0.5C or less which for a 9kWh battery will be around 4.5kW.

I feel like this guy is trying to follow footsteps of Elon Musk, in his products, stage presentations, opinions on X, everywhere!

That makes sense.

I feel like this 9.1 kwh unit with a 6 kW peak load is made just for me. But the too-good-to-be-true price and the OLA branding are worrisome.

Would you agree that this unit doesn’t make sense for an on-grid setup?

From what I understood this inverter is not a grid tie or a hybrid unit that can export power. Its a off grid unit.

If it was a hybrid unit, they would have mentioned this and it would have undercut the competition by several lakh.
