by any chance does unloaded latency improve if we use custom ONTs, i have solved bufferbloat with openwrt sqm but normal unloaded latency is still high.
I was on JioFiber earlier and switching to the G3 V2 didn’t make a significant difference for me in terms of unloaded latency.
Same as your case, QoS helped with bufferbloat.
JioFiber just has worse latency. I switched to Airtel and it’s much better. No bufferbloat either.
However using my own ONU got rid of the weird network instability issues I had with the Jio router. I was already using my own TP Link router with double NAT before that. So that would not have been a factor.

I placed order for the same on 13th and they have been stuck on processing since then
mine was stuck in awaiting processing cuz of holidays, only today it got processing.
from what you are saying looks like they dont have stock and it will take long.
anyone can help with the Hathway config?
I got mine from LT online store. Got a V2 shipped in reasonable time, doubt they have V1 on stock.
Apparently there’s floods in Mumbai so it might take time from LT online store
