If website supports https, you can just use the https instead of http and website will work fine.

What makes you think that HTTPS website cant be blocked? A DNS/IP block will apply regardless of SSL. Its just that you cannot ban a specific resource(s) on a website when its SSL protected. For example, an ISP will not be able to block one specific page on your website when you use SSL, but they can block the whole domain without problem.

Some countries have regulation where you are legally required to install a Root certificate provided by the government in your browser in order to access internet. The govt will be intercepting SSL conenctions in order to snoop on the traffic and encrypting the traffic again.

Opened burnbit.com to make a torrent for pfsense, since they dont give a torrent link, and the internet is weird. Found that they have blocked burnbit. Someone need to tell these A$%#^$^&&%$$^&*&^%% that it is a HTTP to Torrent conversion site and does not store infringing content on its site!

Someone else recently mentioned that many image hosting sites are blocked. Apparently, they are blocking porn images? Why? Is there a blanket ban on porn sites? Or is the BJP playing it safe after its ministers were watching explicit videos in the raj bhavan - karnataka?

Incidentally Kickass Torrents seems to be back in action via Proxy...
I'm Not able to access the website with Airtel 4g or Act fiber network, both displaying the same scary message.

I'm able to access only on Jio network , anyone checked? Doesn’t matter anyway till preview offer is going on...

It cannot be per blocking done by single ISP. Either its blocked on all ISP's or its a technical glitch caused only for ACT.

nope. act has this shitty policy wherethey block different sites showing govt warning. They block sites one week and unblock it next

Funny thing is i use Hathway as my broadband provider and one of their own pages was blocked! Refreshing the page made it work again though. Not sure what's happening.

Isn't this hacking? If a corporate can do this and get away, then whats the use of internet laws?

What I don't understand is which law is allowing this to be done? Can anyone please file a RTI? I saw this with some imgur link as well.

^ if you and I aren't doing anything about this even though we feel strongly about it, why would anyone else do so?

the fact is in our country, doing the right thing/getting the right thing done is just way too hard...
