NV40 is a native agp part. NV45 which is the pci express version of the same is simply the NV40+a bridge. This bridge is the expensive part... costs around 30-40$. If you look at newegg prices as well, you'll find the agp 6800gt at around 300$ and the PCI-E 6800GT at around 370-380$Quad Master said:Guys just dont get the reason why AGP version of the same gpu is cheaper.
