Graphic Cards 6600GT PCI-E x16 - which make to buy

You didn't get it I think.....

What funky means is that the TD or normal version has 2.0ns memory while the extreme edition has 1.6 ns .

So, if you buy a normal version, then you are getting 2.0 ns.

Actually i wanted to find out which RAM chips are used in my own card ie XFX 6600gt.It dosen't have any suffixes like TD, etc i think they are for ASUS cards only

@quad
there is nothing wrong with the leadtek cards..as pointed out earlier, just bcos one card had problems doesnt mean that all cards will..
as far as the support is concerned, its best that u find out urself abt the service support in ur city..call up the dealers and distris and find out..

the leadtek extreme version of the 6600GT is a better buy than the ASUS...its clock speeds are marginally higher at 550/560 compared to the 550/550 of the ASUS
as far as i know, in chennai the ASUS cards are harder to find than the leadtek...
the Leadtek WinFast PX6600 GT TDH Extreme is avaialble for 12k here..

hope these links will help u in ur decision..u'll find that the leadtek outdoes the Asus EN in almost all areas...

Gainward 6600GT 1960 Powerpack 2.0ns GDDR3 128MB for 9995Rs [Looks a gr8 deal]
asked him if he can arrange the Golden Sample or the GLH [Goes Like Hell] Version of 6600GT and he said currently he doesnt have it.

The GS & GLH version of Gainward OC like hell.

shud i go for Gainward at 9995 looks a gr8 deal , that card has nice cooling & ram sinks

^^ Quad: Make sure they have it in stock. If they do and this is the card that you have finally decided upon make sure you purchase them asap. The cards get sold pretty quickly and then the distys simply dont bother...........

Are u sure that i shud go for gainward asap.
currently i had not decided to spend money , but will be purchasing it in july.
but if you say its rare then i must talk with my parents.

the thing is that i wanted to spend just approx 13-14K on funkies venice & hynix.

Leadtek 7800GTX available for 37k i u want it ;). XFX and others will soon follow . The 76XX series hasnt been announced as yet. Let the announcements come in and then we can talk...........i dont see that happening for quite some time.

Quad: Chk out this thread Leadtek price revision

6800GT AGP for 17k ! :)

July is only 7 days away..

a li'l OT, but are there any chances of prices going up or down effective July 1st? i vaguely remember some hearsay.. but am not sure.

I think you should go for the 6800GT AGP. Go for a NEO2 Platinum mobo..... The deal is awesome!!!

Nikhil posted 0.55 minutes later:

The neo2 platinum is anyway one of the best mobos for oc'ing.... Check with Bottle....

Yeah... With that price for the 6800GT, it makes sense to stay on AGP :).

EXACTLY!!!! And if he buys a 6800GT, there will be no need to upgrade his graphics for the next 3 years. And by that time he can go for an all new PCIe system

Guys just dont get the reason why AGP version of the same gpu is cheaper.

Does the AGP version perform lower than PCIE version since it runs at 8X.
But then it doesnt make sense.

NV40 is a native agp part. NV45 which is the pci express version of the same is simply the NV40+a bridge. This bridge is the expensive part... costs around 30-40$. If you look at newegg prices as well, you'll find the agp 6800gt at around 300$ and the PCI-E 6800GT at around 370-380$
