Graphic Cards 660ti or 670 for 1080p?

@harry_houdini Seems the pm system is broken so I'll just post an update here.

I haven't been able to order the gpu yet. There was a hiccup with the credit card because it was not registered for online transactions. I've sent an application, and it should take around 5 to 6 days for activation. I'll let you know when I make the order.

K buddy please do tell me

Alright, I received the card on Monday. I tried out some games on it, Sleeping Dogs, Crysis 2, The Witcher 2, etcetra, they all seem to be running fine. Temps are awesome, 27C at idle and below 45C at load, and this is without any external fan/cooler. I'm switched on the Boost button which shifts the core clocks to 950MHz. I'll keep updating this thread as and when I do some benchmarking.

Nice update. This is great to know that the temperatures are also within the ceiling.

TR's latency based review has been in talks all over the net. There is nothing fishy in that review, it is the issue at the driver level which has been acknowledged by AMD itself and they are soon going to address the issue with a CAP update.

I think you need to see this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6857/amd-stuttering-issues-driver-roadmap-fraps

Please note that this lines quite well with exactly what I said three months ago - that it was a subjective quality, that FRAPS is not the right tool to do this, and that stutter is a competitive issue (which is the reason it is being fixed, not because all AMD users are suddenly experiencing horrible stutter).

If you look at the latest reviews of TR with Catalyst 13.3 beta, you'll notice all latency issues they claimed about have been fixed for single card configs and the 7970 is way faster than 680 now. Seemingly it'll be fixed for multiple card configs in may.

Can u pls give link ?

I didn't have any trouble getting a refund. My 7950 Vapor-X turned out to be faulty and they refunded the amount the day after I sent them an email. From what I hear, getting refunds for a COD purchase would be a bit tricky. Anyway, if all you're looking for is a replacement that should be easy enough, as long as the product is in-stock.

Any knowledge about Flipkart's 30 day replacement thingy? Is it reliable for gpus? I think unless the gpu is DOA or has a manufacturing defect, it'll work generally work well for quite a few years.

Flipkart replaces GPUs with any fault in 30 days no questions asked. I've tried it and it took exactly 5 days for me to get the brand new replacement delivered at my doorstep. They did call me up multiple times to confirm things though. Have to admit that considering how bad hardware distributors' services are, this was pretty spectacular.
