I have computer with i3 12100f and psu of 450w and am planning to upgrade my gpu which is a gt 610 ( I bought this for pure video out ) now I have a budget of around 20k to 25k iam thinking of going with rtx 3060 or rx 7600 any suggestions?

if you are ok with used products, you may get a used 3070 or 6700xt within 20k-25k. For those you would need a 650W PSU.

for new GPUs, I would go personally with 4060 because that consumes less power than a 3060 and would go well with your current psu.

Used 3060Ti at 16-17k (or used 6700XT at 18k) + a new 650W PSU (at least bronze rated)

Else, only 4060 is efficient enough for your PSU (it is considered a poorly priced product), performs ~25% worse than an used 3060Ti or 6700XT

As someone with a 6700 XT, I'd tell you to steer clear of it (and AMD GPUs in general).
  • Drivers are fiddly af, I had to experiment so much just to get the most out of it. My previous GPU (1050 Ti), in comparison, was a complete breeze to set-up and I never had any driver issues with it.
  • Adrenaline drivers are a nightmare; the full version uses wayy too many resources and the minimal version is straight up useless with a lot of missing features.
  • Many DX11 games perform terribly. You used to be able to replace the DXNavi dlls with old ones in the registry (see what I mean when I say "fiddly drivers"?) but AMD put a stop to that.
  • FSR (both upscaling and framegen) is complete dogwater compared to DLSS and XeSS.
There are more reasons why I think AMD cards are not worth it but this post is too long as it is.
All I know is that I'm never buying AMD GPUs in the future again lol.

Get a used RTX 3060 12gb or a new RTX 4060 8gb.
