Airtel BB 2x night speed

Called up Airtel again yesterday. They said they have double speeds at night in delhi. My cousin(same house gound floor) gets 2x speeds. Why the %%%% don i get em !!!! :(
 
how are you testing the speed of your connection. close every network app and use this page to test out your connection speed during day and at 12am or so.

I recently upgraded to the 256 plan and am getting the double speeds despite the customer care guy claimin that i wont be getting double speeds.
 
had a talk with CC now,,,told him that i was getting 2x speeds 1 month before & now it stopped.....he replied...sir if u have any offers the 2x thing happens...else it dont...now...how to get the offer..?he also said most of the people with 128kbps get 2xspeed for their first month ...

& that explained me getting 2x speeds this february when i shifted to 128kbps unlimited....

ok airtel is being very funny about it in chennai right now. i got my airtel connection sometime around end march / early april (don't exactly recall when) and i get a stable 60 kbps after 11pm. 2 friends of mine took the same airtel plan on my recommendation about a week back. both of them asked for the 512 at night thing... one guy got it but the other guy was denied the offer. the customer care person told him that the offer was only for january :S

very weird considering i got it after jan and one of my friends got it a few days back.
 
From the last couple of days, i've been exploting my connection to 2x speed all day...i just found it by sheer luck.

The 2x speed last from 11:00 to somewhere around 7:000 i believe anyways, from the last couple of days i noticed the 2x speed weren't dropping after 7 and was still going on at 55kBps (the 2x of 256kbps) even when i checked my downloads at say 11 in the morning!

Sometimes, it just falls back to its original 256 typcial speed (23-25kBps), and then all i do is switch my modem off and let it connect back with a new ip, and bam, i recover back my 2x speed and resume the downloads :D

Although i'm pretty sure this is a glitch and will be found and fixed by airtel anytime now i'm enjoying it while it lasts. Been streaming stuff on youtube all day long.

Anyways, any talks anywhere for 512kbps unlm plans by any ISP??
 
anyone in chennai know how to get the 2x thing done

im on 128 ul plan(600)

have been using for almost 8 months now and have another connection about 4-5 months now. same plan
 
i am on the 256 ul plan and pay 49/- extra for it....had to call up CCand get it activated

deinite;y worth an extra 49/-
 
They will introduce it in Bangalore.... not sure when. The guy I know there has pushed as hard as he could, now we have to hope it's introduced soon.
 
Get double speed with Airtel 256kpbs broadband package in Delhi. No activation required, its on their website... that they double speed at nights. I am getting speeds upto 60kpbs at night, during the day, I avg around 25 kbps.

yup. no paying extra for 2x speed. Airtel isn't constant in all of the cities.

Post a link of where they mention this on their website... let me try to use that to have them implement this in Bangalore.
 
Spoke to a lady on the phone yesterday, for the first time someone at Airtel actually agreed to the fact that they have a 2x speed at night thing. And *drumroll* :

I finally have 512kbps @ night :D:D:D:D !!!
