Even if there are no takers I think it would spark off a 3G competetive pricing from other provider which would be beneficial for the end users

I am sure this wont be truly unlimited plan... it was mentioned uptp 7.2MBps for first 6GB... Post then ?

Post then you will be probably FUpped to the crawling speed of less than 128kbps...

Airtel FUP creates headache, why dont they introduce 1mbps 3G unlimited plan, we don't need 7mbps but we do need more download limit :)

Even 512kbps UL without any FUP would be great too :)

But price should be reasonable.

No one gonna pay R.100/- for 1MB data even they give 1000mbps speed.....

Airtel's broadband plans now pretty good. I mean this for instance:

4 Mbps, 30GB FUP, 512Kbps beyond FUP, Rs. 999 pm

I think that's prettty goood a plan eh!

if we are going for local ISP they are providing much better plans and reasonable service.

I pay 850/- for 2mbps UL connection....though it is on the higher side but still it doesn't have any FUP !!

but compared to earlier launches, i think these are a bit better !!

The only reason I would choose Airtel Broadband or even Airtel 3G is because of amazing pings for gaming.

I'm using a 7.2Mbps Airtel 3G data card, and I get like 550KB/s on downloads, and 80-100 ping to Singapore servers. It really is great.

wish MTNL would come close to those pings or speeds :(

btw does airtel consider gaming over lan in data usage too?

Well this sounds too costly to me, I would prefer to stick with Wired BB as 3G network is not consistent in Rajasthan!!

Ping not only depends solely on ISP, but on your location and routing also. And the after-mentioned factors are more responsible. I've seen many BSNL and MTNL connections giving under 50 ping, while my so awesome airtel 2mbps always have 100+, upto 200. I made numerous complains but they simply said they can't do anything about it.
And about LAN gaming, no its data is not considered in network traffic, but if you play games which use online connectivity, like steam games, then data transferred through steam will be counted.

Airtel was giving double data benefit during the festive season. Is the benefit still available?

BSNL 3G speeds are low and frequently disconnects in my area due to congestion. Airtel has better reliability and speeds.

I was planning to take the Rs.751 plan which provides 2GB usually but with double data benefit its 4GB. 4GB should be sufficient enough for me.

Can anyone who recharged their Airtel 3G data plans recently confirm whether the double data benefit still exists?
