Aliexpress.com - Feedback Thread

Adding my 2 cents here. Last October, I used a Delhi based freight forwarder to import 4 Lego (knockoff) sets. Total weight was approx 7.5 Kg (little less) and cost I was given was Rs. 850 per kg incl customs and delivery to my home in Mumbai. The package took like a month to come (sea freight) but all came fine. This was before my cousin started going to China and through him I get legos (knockoffs) now whenever he goes.

But the importer did ask me for invoice (of alibaba) and asked me what all it is and I told him no original boxes will be there and he insisted me that I tell seller to put the instructions "in middle of the brown box" in which the 4 sets will come so it looks like plastic pieces only (which they are actually). Basically he was concerned I was not ordering something of brand (like nike etc) which can cause trouble to him.
The package did not appear opened at all. So I doubt if customs ever opened. I feel it may have been xrayed only or not even that given these importers would have some setting.

Is aramex part of SNS? In any case, what is their Per kg rate?
Can u dm me details of the importer and number

This isn't feedback, but more like request for help/advice.

I needed an encoder wheel and ordered it on AliExpress. The order was to be shipped to Singapore to a relative.

I chose Cainiao as the shipping service and paid for it via my credit card (I dont know how good the chargeback rate is for my issuer).

I had no reason to suspect there's something wrong with the delivery, the tracking updated at regular intervals over the period of a week and it finally showed out for delivery and delivered.

However, the relative insists that nothing of the sort has turned up either at his door or at the postbox. I have no reason to doubt the relative, he is trustworthy and has carried goods worth well over several hundred USD safely for me over several years, so for him to stiff me on a 4 USD encoder wheel doesn't make sense.

I asked the store on aliexpress to either show proof of delivery or refund my money. He sent me the same tracking information I get and my invoice details. I have asked for proper proof of delivery, but am not very hopeful.

I am.unable to raise a dispute on AliExpress, there appears to be no option for the same. I can only confirm receipt of the item, but since I haven't received it, I don't want to do that.

What are my options here regarding refund or reshipping via singapore post (should reach Singapore by August 1st week)?

Thanks guys.

sns is owned by aramex
their rate varies for each country [ you can check here ]
its 2000 for 1 kg from china, 1400 from usa .
but for usa myus, stackry and planet express are much cheaper options it comes down to 700/kg with these.
I use SNS only for china now.
they have addes a vietnam address now, making it 44 address across the world.

Many of the same products are also available on ebay.com by Chinese sellers, so people can check there before going with Alibaba option.

Is Alibaba.com same as Aliexpress used to be earlier? I logged in with aliexpress credentials and placed an order (~1k INR). For safety, I turned off international txn on my CC as the txn was approved without any OTP.

Both are owned by same alibaba group. International txns do not require otp unless it is one of those rare payment gateway having an official tie-up with some Indian bank like sbi.

Not related to AliExpress, but wanted clarity as to what is happening with my parcel in Delhi customs? Attaching screenshots for context.

Why after being released it is again being processed?
