Aliexpress.com - Feedback Thread

Aliexpress Standard shipping is now sending via Singapore Post which is a big improvement over the super slow Malaysia Post which they used earlier, even now there is a big delay in shipment as Aliexpress takes one week in sending the shipment to Singapore Post, still there will be marked improvement in total time taken which should lower down to 2-3 weeks instead of the earlier 4-5 weeks.

All of my shipments (from last November till now) under free AliExpress Standard Shipping have come through Singapore Post. Never Turkey Post or Malaysia Post. Takes normally anywhere between 20-30 days to arrive.

Yup, they have shifted to Singapore Post which is a good upgrade over Malaysia Post, Iooks like i posted the same in this thread few months back but forgot.

But still it is faster to go for China Air mail as the Aliexpress giving shipment to Singapore post takes one week otherwise Singapore post Air mail is as fast as HK post.

The speediness of Hong Kong Post pretty much becomes redundant for me as I'm in Kolkata and the shipment first arrives in Delhi and then spends about 7-10 days being transferred to Kolkata before it passes customs at the Kolkata LCAO which usually takes a week. I presently have 3 shipments through Hong Kong Post awaiting presentation to Customs Commissioner in the Kolkata LCAO. Hopefully, they should be cleared next week.

What I have noticed is, it takes about same time through both (free) Singapore Post and HK Post now.

For me, Both HK post and Singapore post land at Mumbai and they send to Nagpur within two days, so it is the fastest option if seller ships directly, the aliexpress standard shipment adds another week to the whole process, so in that case i go with China post Air mail.

Bought a Bluedio Energy Active BT Headset from AliExpress for pretty cheap on 30.03.2018. The seller shipped it the very same day through Singapore Post which was delivered to me on 19.04.2018. Took 20 days flat and no customs were charged.

I was thinking about ordering something from Gearbest and these are the shipping options available for the item:

Is the Priority Line shipping the one I should choose? It's free shipping from what I can see.

Also, since the item is around $60, what are the chances of it being hit with customs duty? I know on AliExpress the seller usually puts a lower price on the package so it passes the customs radar but with Gearbest I'm not sure they declare a lower value on the package?

Go For Priority Line Shipment with eye closed - There is No Customs Duty - Declared Value is $20 - Tried & Tested method by many people incl me.

I even bought some Walkie Talkie Radio (1 Watt & 8 Watt ) via this method which is very hard to clear Indian customs.

Excellent news my friend, thank-you for the information! :)

Now, I see that this is to be handled by India Express, that is different from GATI or is it GATI only?

Received 2 out of 3 shipments which included products ordered in the last AliExpress Anniversary Sale (28th of March). Both were through free AliExpress Standard Shipping (Singapore Post and Hong Post were used respectively by the sellers).

The last of the three shipments is with Kolkata Customs for the last 5 days, hopefully will get cleared by the end of this week.

Will place a couple of orders for watch straps tomorrow. :)

Do sellers on Aliexpress provide refund for excess amount if the item price drops before it reaches its destination? I ordered following last week when it was priced at $20 now it is down to $18 which is is huge difference (10%). It is yet to reach my home (arrived in India today).

LoL! Yup, very slim chances of the seller returning the additional $2 to the buyer. :p

Received My AE Order placed 19/04 via GATI Today - Below is the tracking

What I like to mention here that Delhi Gateway (Customs Department) do open the packet and see what inside it ,then they seal it via Cellotape as the packet comes with all customs declaration Label - For Priority Line or India Direct Mail shipping Delhi Gateway never open any of the packet but for individual seller they do open (it seems). I didn't get charged by any Custom Duty or Fine because packet contains some connector only.
Now I like to say Kolkata Customs never open my package (for past two orders I placed at Aliexpress so far) which is much bigger and more valuable product inside, though it cleary mentioned what inside the packet on Customs Declaration Label - For this order Seller never declare anything in the Label as well not marked as Gifts...so don't know whoom to blame.

Below the picture of the packet for reference - Checkout the right side for cellotape.

Dont worry, they open any package they like. Most of the time packages go through without any problems but sometimes they do open packages at random
