He was using shipping address of Thailand, I don't think aliexpress has removed restriction of not shipping to India.

I tried 3 different ICICI cards and didn't get any OTPs so couldn't complete the transaction. My items are marked as shipped so hoping for the best.

@dafreaking check your statement if it was an under 10k product and international transactions were turned on , money gets deducted auto without a OTP.

It's was approx $40. No money has been deducted. The transaction failed everytime due to no OTP

Nah dude, international tnx don't require otp upto some amount. If it has been shipped, surely the money has been deducted.

ICICI asked for an OTP every single time. No OTP came. Transaction failed.
I then used an Amex card. Passkey/OTP came. Transaction successful.

I want to get a NVR from china[thinking], and most sellers refuse If I tell them to ship using yanwen or china mail.

If it's a high value item, it is unlikely that they will ship using those methods. They are cheap but risky and not as trackable.
It depends on payment gateway being used, if the bank/card network has special arrangement for Indian cards to receive otp then that payment gateway will ask otp for any international txn through that gateway. SBI has a similar arrangement with paypal I think so for any intl txn via paypal linked sbi card it needs otp.

I have tried RBL, ICICI,HDFC , SBI and all work perfectly with Paypal. [ all were visa and mastercard]
I also want to buy a NVR.
