I think the delivery address is in the USA, that's why AE accepted the order.
Recently I tried to place an order with an Indian address, and the payment went through but after 2 minutes, I got a message from AE that the order was cancelled as they can't ship to India. The amount was refunded promptly as well.

Only Banggood seems to be delivering in India for selected items.

As mentioned by afxal, not an Indian address. Wish they shipped to India, some items are way less even after custom duties.

A STRANGE EXPERIENCE!

Last December, I ordered few ICs from eBay.com but a Chinese Source/Seller.
He gave me a YANWEN Courier Tracking ID (UJ********)

The package was delivered by a DTDC guy to my house!
The guy was with DTDC bag, documents, DTDC sticker on the package.
When I asked, he only said 'channel partner', he didn't know any details!

Yes, via ebay no issues. Only it's aliexpress. Even alibaba it's no problem.
Heck, nehru place people are still getting stuff from china.

Been ordering from eBay every month, nothing to report because all items were delivered within 2 weeks, including those sent using China Registered Post which used to take 2 months in another era.

No problem with eBay. Customs is your luck as usual. But if it's shipped through FedEx/dhl etc duty is inevitable.
