Review Aliexpress.com - Feedback Thread

I ordered from banggood. small item less than Rs 2000. It was delivered within 10 days. the last mile being delivered through DHL. For custom clearance, they asked for

its over for aliexpress now it was easy to ship to usa from china and then get it here but it ends with this
every parcel that was ordered from alibaba or express to usa never incurred customs
You mean no customs on parcels from China routed through USA to India or no customs on parcels from China to USA & then customs duty depending on your luck from US to India? Also, US shouldn't be the only country in the world that allowed parcels from China with zero custom, there should be other countries especially in SEA region. Isn't there a way for these freight forwarders to operate from one of those countries?

Decision has already been reversed. Anyways it's better to just use a Freight forwarder and ship it directly to a china warehouse by using alibaba/taobao or some chinese agent. Or incase it's only aliexpress, then to ship it to a freight forwarder in hong kong. It's like saying there's no more restaurants left in bangalore because your 2 favourite restaurants closed down lol

no customs on parcels from China to USA

nothing is luck you pay what you declare no if and but in this this myth needs to be broken that customs depend on luck aramex , dhl and fedex will charge you what is declared in invoice value [if a product is worth rs50 and the bill value is rs 10 ] you will be charged on 10 only .

yeah posted that link first in the comment have a look please, that reuters link
hen to ship it to a freight forwarder in hong kong
thats pretty costly compared to freight forwarders in usa compare the rates yourself 5x costly , china to usa was pretty hassle free now it wont remain same

There's this guy on X Prawin who can get anything from China to India through his company wintrackinc. He is very active on X and customers gives feedback also. Looks promising. I am waiting for the quote . Based on the quote i will order and see something small.

Lets say I order something from Alibaba... do they ship directly to an Indian address? I don't mind paying Customs Duty but what I'm concerned about is smooth delivery to my home address in India.

They don't..India has banned shipping from AliExpress since long time and AliExpress dealers refuse to ship to India .
You can use eBay route. They are listed on ebay too for many items.
Otherwise..Banggood hai.
They also reroute from China only but there listings of items are not extensive.

No I'm saying ALIBABA not AE. Or are both banned?

Yes they do deliver to India Address. However Alibaba is a bulk platform the sellers have Minimum order . Talk to a good verified seller first, check if he can ship only 1. Then order it.. They will definitely ship it. Here's a example of this guy where he ordered from alibaba successfully. Alibaba Link .

AliExpress is Banned , Alibaba is functional..

Alibaba is for wholesale kind of orders. Don't think they cater to personal one or two orders that easily.
There are traders who are still importing from China.
So I am not sure but you may need import export license too

.let someone else add to this.

I don't want to seem like I'm advertising but there are 2 freight forwarders that I am currently aware of
Delivo/Bkicks - China and HK warehouse pricing to India (customs and door delivery all included) is 1450rs/kg. Their US warehouse is around 1650/kg. I think there's certian restrictions on some battery electronics but otherwise general stuff is allowed.
The agent superbuy, in it's shipping calculator itself shows a few Indian users shipping items via ems through Superbuy (EMS expensive though compared to EUB and china post. Also when you consider that still likely have to pay customs once it reaches India compared to using a freight forwarder)

Fashionsoles - More towards shoes and clothing (1300rs/kg china warehouse) but does provide pics of the items at warehouse. I've recently seen someone purchasing some sort of japanese toy action figure rep and some anime figurines too
There's also some freight forwarders who do sea shipping for like 350rs/kg but no clarity whether that is only for clothing items or electronics too. @raksrules has shipped lots of rep lego sets through such methods if I'm not wrong.

Personally I don't know what you guys keep buying from china, but if it's stuff like small electronic components which won't weigh more than 50gm or 100gm, but it's really important, I would just use a chinese agent (whichever one has the best coupons) and ship it through them. Recently paid like 250rs on a 1kg parcel via an agent using EUB. But that was after a 1200rs free shipping coupon lol
