Amazon India - Feedback Thread

Anyone installed Amazon India app?
Tried to view a product on opera mini but it wont let me do it anymore (worked till a few days ago) telling me that its not supported and prompting me to download their app. So the first thing I did, check their permission lists. The access which I'm not comfortable with includes:
Identity- Add/remove accounts; find accounts on the device.
Contacts- Find accounts on the device; read your contacts.
SMS- Read your text messages; receive text messages.
Photos/Media/Files- Modify/delete contents of your USB storage; read contents of your USB storage.
Storage- ^same as above.
Microphone- record audio (next level stalking).
Others- viz. create accounts and set passwords (not just create accounts but even set passwords wtf?)! prevent device from sleeping.

I don't install Snapdeal and Flipkart apps mainly because of these reasons. thought amazon would be better but... :/
 
If you are on custom ROM or on marshmallow you can deny permissions to the app. And then use greenify to shut these apps down after use. Works great
 
A rare frustrating Amazon experience. 25 days and counting...

Ordered Eneloop batteries on 27th April. Seller kharidiye shipped next day. Courier was ATS. Estimated delivery date 5th May.

May 5th passed. Forget the delivery, but even the tracking status wasn't updated since shipping. Never before experienced such incompetence from ATS. Contacted CC, they assured it will be delivered soon, so waited 3 more days. Finally got fed up and asked for refund on May 9th. CC apologized, gave ₹100 gift card and asked seller to refund. Seller wasted 5 more days asking about baring courier charges when there were none and finally refused to refund on 14th saying order is already picked up! CC again apologized, gave ₹250 gift card and opened a claim under A to Z guarantee. And these A to Z geniuses gave another 5 days to seller to resolve the issue. Surprise, surprise, seller did nothing! Claim mentioned that I'm to contact them if seller failed to resolve the issue in 5 days, so they can take further action. So on the May 19th, I did. On May 21st, received the most generic, useless reply from some no-name Account Specialist saying "we are still investigating your claim and as soon as we have more information for you, we will let you know."

Nothing since.

Use Amazon's Facebook page and post the incident without order number - They are very sensitive about their page....also rate the Seller Negative ratings.

Did your order comes under 'Fulfilled' Badge ?
 
Their Haryana fulfillment center is one of the laziest. Products get shipped after 2 days. Last two order experience is less than satisfactory.
 
Made a mistake of ordering a seller fulfilled item. Didn't receive a vat paid invoice with it. The seller is not responding and amazon wants me to wait a whole month before they would do anything about it.

Tell amazon and the seller, you are going to complaint to sales tax commissioner.

Mine got deleted too! Now I understand how this 'kharidiye' seller has maintained such high ratings. When I wrote mine couple days back, he had 6% negative feedback for last 30 days, but when I checked yesterday, it was reduced to only 1%!! Unbelievable!
 
All i know about this seller is that they are called "Anitaonlinestore2015". I have no other information, not even a phone no. And now the seller have sent me a message saying that they are sending invoices as per the policies of amazon india.
The seller didn't even mention a return address on the package.

because Amazon has asked you to wait for 30 days, your feedback is not considered valid at this moment.
When I wrote mine couple days back, he had 6% negative feedback for last 30 days, but when I checked yesterday, it was reduced to only 1%!! Unbelievable!
As you are talking about percentages, instead of Amazon removing the negative feedback, it could also mean that a lot of people gave positive feedback during the last 30 days. Also, this last-30-day period keeps on changing. Today, it means 24 May - 22 Jun. Ten days later, it'll be 3 Jun - 2 Jul.

I left them a negative feedback after they replied to me saying "We have sent you a proper vat invoice only. You can download it from amazon portal." I cant download the invoice from the portal because this was a seller fulfilled order, invoice for that is not uploaded to amazon. Only thing i can get from the portal is the order summary, which is exactly what the seller has sent me as an invoice.
Look at the image i uploaded. This is the order summary i get from amazon. Seller has removed the part in red boxes and sent to me as an invoice.

I guess it's possible, but 1% from 6% in matter of two days seems kinda suspicious.
 
Hello Experts, Need some opinion here ;

I order a product from Amazon IN for the first time which is not 'Fulfilled' by Amazon but seller fulfilled - Order Placed 19th July and Arriving Date is 5th - 13th August - Since then the status shows - 'Preparing For Dispatch' - nothing else - By Looks like it will not going to ship. Option available :

1. Track Package
2.Contact Seller
3.Request Cancellation
4.File/View Claim

Please let me know what to Do ? Wait till 5th-13th Aug ? Then Contact Seller ?

Or Request Cancellation Now ? Or may I go ahead and contact Amazon Customer Service ? Amazon Customer service going to do anything as the product is not fulfilled by them ?

Please suggest......

N.B:- This is the first time I bought something which is Fullfilled by Seller and Lesson Learnt, BTW COD is never available in my Area at Amazon.
 
I would suggest to call CC and request them to send a message to seller for an early shipment, though delivery deadline is not around.
