if braindead idiots in India continue to buy GPU in the inflated price, don't expect any reduced price soon.
PRtech and other distributor/retailer India are here to feast on peoples sheer foolishness and expand their business, don't expect any business or general ethics from any Indian importer.

Indian Distributors are slow, they will first try to extract as much as they can and then reduce the pricing. This will be in effect here from November and not before that. May be October end if we are lucky.

Dunno if I should go home and get my PC and upgrade the components or buy a laptop instead. I'm using R3 CPU, 1650S and 60Hz monitor.
How much price decrease are we expected to get here in India for all currently available products? Intel 11th/12th gen, AMD 3000/5000 and their graphic cards and Nvidia ones? Not going to get an entire DDR5 wala RAM upgrade PC.

You should upgrade the CPU on this now to maybe 5800X or 5600X used if just gaming. As for GPU you should wait for RDNA3 and see how it is or affects current gen pricing then buy used 3060Ti/70 or 6700XT or maybe even RDNA3. Either way it'll be an awesome upgrade.

5600X is currently available at ~14k Rs. Intel i5 12400F is available at a similar price with similar performance

There is a massive Tax slab for imported products in India hence it wont be exactly same as US price. Also US price does not include their local tax slab. The 170$ is pre tax rate in US

I am on this driver version. Just got the GPU a week ago. However, I am with a 6700 XT. Waiting, watching and ...should I be praying?

Highly doubt if prices will get any lower for the lower end of the 6000 series such as 6700XT or the 6600. Taxes will still be the same and more importantly the greed of retailers will not vanish.
