CPU/Mobo AMD drops processor prices by 47%!!

X2 3800+ and a8nvm combo 12,300 at lammy from my dealer.
Just called my dealer x2 3800+ out of stock.The prices are high because of acute shortage.He said it will takes around 2 weeks before the x2 3800+ arrive.
 
hey mumbai guys if u thinking to buy one 939 x2 3800+ now pls say the price which u want it...i have fixed 7.5k(price at which i want to buy).........hope say 3 pplwant to buy it........we can buy it together and can avail some sort of discount what say

note(i can go 200 buks above budget...below is always welcome)
 
arra blues price is frm active infocom...earlier he confirmed....8.5k price for the proccy..........

wraith u goin to buy frm comp selection???also with the board...becoz they r my present dealers too

wait forever then coz the x2 3800 prices wont fall, even if they do, wont be mroe than 500 bux max....
 
@magnet : i might buy from computer selection next week...but i have spoken to prime too....so i'll buy frmo whoever gives me the best deal..

but even today was told x2 3800+ is for 10k at prime...
 
I received today my x2 3800+ bought from
Delta , Chennai for 8.5K + Rs. 200 shipping. credit to saiyan for buying it for me.

it is stepping 0609 SPMW , haven't installed it yet will do so tomorrow.

somehow i have a feeling that x2 3800+ is soon going to be in short supply and i just hope the price does not rise because of it.;)

exactly my point, not everyone will go for conroe coz of the added cost of ddr2 memory and new mobo for it, and since the 939 socket is so widely spread, the 3800 will sell out like hot cakes, so DD, better make your purchase now or ull miss the train :p

Increased Demand = hike in prices- Mumbai dealers at least!!:mad:

Don't you'll remember what happened to Opty 144s and 146s earlier!!:( :'(

I was supposed to get the 146 when others got and already had a frnd interested in my 3000+ and would require me to put in few 'k' more!!:)
But prices went up due to Demand and luckily i got a better 3000+ in place of mine!!:p

Just like i sold my 2x512 cheap, then UCCC disappeared and few left were being sold at very high premium!!
Dealers who tried to do that didnt know zilch abt UCCC, just said- nahi sir!! Woh toh original quality ka hai isliye mehenga hai!!:rofl:
Did they just accept that all other Transcend is fake!!:O :rofl:

Late Breaking news ....
most probably i will be getting the gigabyte DS3 m/b soon for around 8K (temporary solution until reasonably priced and debugged i975 chipset based m/b's are released).....so i will buy the E6300 soon either from here locally or from newegg when it is released for consumers on the 7th.
Hence Wraith if you want i can let go of my x2 3800+ at my cost price of 8.7K. i have not yet installed it and it is still in the box.
(The box is torn though by the security persons at the airport during shipping (Blue Dart). luckily the proceesor is still there unlike (sadly) our te member switch's case where the cpu was stolen / misplaced :( )

please let me know by today evening ....

Does DDR2 still cost more than DDR in India?

How much difference is there then?

I thought by now DDR2 was cheaper than DDR around the world...
 
ddr 2 is mor advance stufff than ddr...so ofcourse it has to b expensive than ddr..........also problem lies in quality ddr 2 ram which r xpensive.......(but presently i m confused becoz ya ddr2 prices r lower than that of ddr...mayb lot of ddr 2 in markets now)

nyways wraith i must say u gettin a good deal frm deejay......also since that proccy is frm india u will get all the warranty as u get at local.....

also guys price update at computerwarhouse site...now on pict they showing.....8.95k for proccy but on pricelist its 8.8k.......nyways it has fallen frm 9.2k thats imp for me......
 
I called up Delta today and they offered the X2 3800+ for 8.3k plus 350/- as shipping to mumbai...they have even sent an email confirming the same..

If any1 else is interested we can place a joint order...
