plus we have the additional cost of the coolerNow that we know the official prices lets talk benchmarks and comparison. Of course many sites are all praises for these chips but here in India we need to factor in our high taxes too. I don't think they will have the same value they enjoy in the US of A.
Would be great if someone could make a table with the performance and pricing details of the various chips in each segment like for the "5's"- R5 3600/k, R5 5600 and i5 10600/k. US prices are irrelevant now that we officially have our own.
It would be great if Intel lowers the prices of their chips. I don't think that their execs are going to sleep well tonight haha.
And personally speaking I think the i5 10600 (6C/12T at 3.3Ghz/4.8Ghz) might be the VFM chip right now for sub-20k. Especially due to the non-availability of the R5 3600 (Even the R3 3300X is not available at 11k anymore which was a great price) and the R5 5600 going for at least 7k more which can be invested into better graphics card. And this may not change till AMD releases the R5 5600. Just my opinion.
I think they will eventually but not to the extent that we are used to. Remember most of the Indian population still thinks that Intel processors are better & now we are already seeing them priced competitively. Just look at i3 10100, it performs better & is priced a lot better than AMDs offering in India.AMD is the new Intel of CPU world and now they won't reduce the price.
Nope bro, both 3600x last year July and 3600xt this year July were launched at 249$ hence 50$ price difference is already there.Considering how well 5600X performs even when compared to the best of Intel in gaming, the price hike seems totally justified, The US pricing that is. Indian pricing on the other hand seems pretty steep. 5600X is priced at the same $300 as was 3600X but it is a lot more expensive in India. Do you guys remember at what price 3600X was launched in India, I think it was Rs 17,690/ excluding GST?
At least the R5 5600X comes with a cooler. It's understandable that the higher chips don't get a stock cooler because "enthusiastic" users will always have their own. But the Indian pricing is what kills the deal for us imo. Also the R5 5600X should at least have had the Wraith Prism cooler. Dunno why they are cheaping out on this. Only one cpu with a stock cooler and they cannot even provide the rgb version of the cooler. Ugh.plus we have the additional cost of the cooler
Actually reviews say R3 3300x>i3 10100>R3 1300.Just look at i3 10100, it performs better & is priced a lot better than AMDs offering in India.
Agreed, availability is the main culprit here. Your statement on 3300X being better than 10100 is correct but the performance difference between the two in gaming is not that much plus some people need the iGPU that Intel offers. In the future I expect Intel will have to lower the prices even more just to stay relevant & AMD could lose some market there. But ya the problem is the lack of availability of the R3 3300X.
Am annoyed with everyone going amd kills intel in gaming but actually it doesn't?
They can get away with 10% increase easily. Bumping it from 199 to 219 and it will still sell a lotHell, I think even R5 5600 will not have this high markup compared to 3600.
Sounds a lot like Nehru Place market in Delhi.5600x is available at ₹28k in pune. Some shops are not selling the CPU alone and offering a cpu mobo combo only.
I didn't go personally but my friend went. It was some last gen Asus mobo. Combo was ₹40k. Maybe sellers are getting rid of the stock of this mobo.Sounds a lot like Nehru Place market in Delhi.
What motherboards are they offering and for how much? I know that many sellers put up specific models to clear old stock via combo sale.
Get x570 boards from us, the high end ones, difference is huge. Yes warranty will be a issue, but I have bought plenty of mobos from there ans never had issues. The price difference between US launch and india including (18%) tax comes to around 5,000 Rs.
I was initially planning to get it from U.S .
Should i still go with the initial plan or spend extra 5K and be safe (damage wise) ?
Also with benchmarks coming out , 5600x looks good and neck and neck with 5800x , but the real difference starts when using cpu intensive ones.. But i do use PS , video encoding occassionaly , but does the premium justify to go for 5800x ? I am pretty torn here..
Also can someone suggest a good mobo to pair with Ryzen 5000 series in terms of good components and features.. I have already ruled out x570 Mobos.. So any good B550 ones ?
If someone can test it at a microcenter or some other store & get that for you, why not? I think AMD processors have international warranty, so you should be good on that front too.The price difference between US launch and india including (18%) tax comes to around 5,000 Rs.
