AMD Ryzen 5000 (Zen 3) processors Official launch | Where Gaming begins. (October 8, 9:30 PM)

Don't think they are going to beat nvidia as usual and go for value which is their thing. I mean the numbers of the card at 4k were not impressive if it was their top of the line card. And if it was going to beat nvidia surely would have hyped by hinting at that.

The pricing on Zen3 processors are disappointing and non-x version not announced yet ??

3600 vs 10600K vs 10700 8c vs 5600X, the VFM argument is completly gone out of the window and 8 core is priced at 450 USD lol.

Its not like they are miles ahead of the competition and based on the lineup so far, Intel looks like better value for money ATM.

Did you even watch the video?

I am only talking about the low and mid range cpus dear which are not announced yet and maybe will take time to get announced below 299. So those who wanted to built a pc right now or in the next 1-2months won’t see any drop in those cpus. Maybe next year once they launch budget cpus will see slight drop.

At-least at the time of this comment, they have kept their Zen2 'alive' to sell;
R5 3600 - 199 (often goes for 175 in USA)
R5 5600X - 299
R7 3700X - 329 (often goes for 269 in USA)
R9 3900X - 419
R7 5800X - 449

Whenever in future, if they are releasing more SKUs, R5 5600 going to be sit at 249 and R7 5700X would be 379. Coming to R5 5600/5600X SKUs, I wonder how R5 5600 will be placed; as R5 5600X is already at 65W vs R5 3600X at 95W and R5 3600 at 65W.

she said that most of you have termed it as BIG NAVI
What I meant was she didn't specify which exact model/variant of the RX6000 was used in the test/comparison. And the Big Navi is just a name first given by the fans and which AMD later officially adopted.

I can't say it's disappointing. I'm highly interested to know the real world facts of their "strong single threaded performance" claims.
But I do want to know more of the non-X version since that's what I'm planning to get. I don't understand your comparison though.

(Note that in the single threaded test, the power limits ultimately should not apply because one core should not consume all the power of the chip. For the Tiger Lake processor, because this is a nominal 15 W TDP part with a 50 W turbo, this actually does go above the power limit with one core active, as it scores 554. As a result, the 50 W mode with a 28 W TDP was used and scores 595. This is more akin to a desktop processor anyway.)

Other benches they could have lied probably but i don't see how they could CBR20. I believe AMD lot more than Intel and Nvidia about their claims.

They also talk about pricing below that page similar to what Darth Vader was trying to say.

AMD’s response to this commentary was the one I would have given if I were in their position. The Ryzen 5000 series is a new product, and the claim of market leading performance means that the early adopters and AMD enthusiasts that want the best on day one will be able to get the hardware they desire. During the initial phase in almost all launches, users looking for the best bang-for-buck build will always look to purchasing the previous generation, which is almost always offered at a good discount as stock transfers to the latest product. AMD believes it has set the pricing of the new Zen 3 processors where it remains competitive, but still balances the message that AMD claims it has the best, most efficient processors.

Yup disappointing price, but i believe it could be due to their new architecture !!

I didnt mean to compare but list out better alternatives close to the price range. You could spend less and get 8 core intel or 3700X than 5600X anyday (subject to user review ofc), same goes for 8 core 5800X @450 USD.
If you plan to buy a PC in the next couple of moths its 5950X or Zen 2/Intel. We also got rocket lake in Q1 2021 to close the gap further.

If you have an existing setup based on AM4 socket and rocking 1 or 2 gen , you have good options price to performance and amount of cores in 3000 series , if you want highest IPC than 5000 series

If you are comming from intel s older generation 4 6 7 8 etc no point of comming onto AM4 as this would be last release you need to upgrade when DDR5 and PCIE 5.0 comes into picture ,just buy a top end GPU and get higher resolution monitor as on 1080p the cpu will bottleneck

Oh I think they will slowly phase out the previous Ryzen series and then replace those with the latest Ryzen 5000 series. If Intel releases theirs and beats AMD's and AMD lowers the prices then that's even better for the consumers. No complaints here. Also as someone already said the price might be because of the new architecture so if real-world benchmarks are as good as claimed and these are AVAILABLE for everyone then it's all good.

Take this with a grain of salt. Finally i can give rest to my warehorse - 2600K.

Yeah they are just converting the pre-tax USD price to INR based on currency conversion rates, obviously the real price in India will be much higher thanks to import duty, taxes and commissions.

Intel was changing sockets almost every year, didn't mean that the previously launched products were DOA when they did.
Going from Sandy Bridge to Ryzen 5000 series is a major upgrade in itself.
