Oh yes you were sending a DD as i remember, so you haven't cancelled it as of now. Do let us know what happens further.

Well what i make out of this entire episode is that, the IT Depot guys have done it unknowingly and i dont see a reason why they should be lambasted for that,come on guys after all they are also human.
Also i think we all knew this offer was too good to be true,so better thing to do was to send them a mail confirming the offer and specifically asking them whether PSU is inclusive.
Also the ITDepot guys have been keen on establishing a good long term relationship with TE,their actions atleast indicate that.
So it is not right,in my opinion to create such a hue n cry for a small thing.
But then its my personal opinion.
Also dragging Eddy into this is uncalled for.
I suggest,considering this as a mistake,this issue be resolved peacefully n without harming their relationship with TE.
Anyways,since i am not involved in this deal in any way,i am not in a position to comment on it.
Rest is upto you guys.
 
Hm... my psu issue got sorted out. they are couriering in a replacement. I hope this gets sorted out too in a fair manner. About the accounts, deejay I mailed them. It seems they reset the passwords for some wierd reason.

well if payment was not made then i dont think there is any chance of them honouring commitment. I mean if they had actiually had your money and then told you the case does not come with PSU and they wont return money or anything then it was an issue. This is not the case it seems.

funky is right. Deejay you havent paid them anything so I dont see how this can be a big problem. they made mistake about that psu listing. Now they can cancel your order or if pay them they will deliver only the case.

Coming to replacements though....I have a mixed tale....having bought quite a few products meself

Well first was the neo power 480 (that never worked from day 1) don't ask what was wrong I'm not a PSU engineer :bleh:
It was replaced rather promply (7 days) :bleh: chennai to madras...very great distance involved so understandable delays...:P

But i got a TP 2.0 550W with SLI (2 * Pci e connectors) and this worked perfectly...No questions asked by Vinod whatsoever...So this is a thumbs up!! Satisfied..
Earlier I got 2 P180's from them....one which I sold to the "I'm scared" dada from kol....
Now the mode of transport was the same that's used by most IT disti's in Chennai....now writ (slip o the tongue X86..touche) paid me in full and promptly. To his dismay and mine the cabby ended up getting damaged in transit...This was a fukkin disaster and I could've killed the bloody b****** who packed it for me and delivered it...:@

Now X86 wants (justifiably so) a replacement front bezel (door is OK the front buttons and all are damaged)..Vinod says he will check forward and let us know...but it will take 3-4 weeks...Jury is out on this one till something +ve or -ve works out.

I have 1 P180 in Jabalpur as well and got a SLB to replace the P180 which is working fine..
So I guess we'll see now how good IT depots customer service is....And this is one customer...who ain't in line to kiss anyone's a**....no offense meant..

You're right...Honor ain't worth a sh1t unless u show the color 'o your pockets...No disti anywhere will honor anything unless u've paid them...and then too you'll need to pray a bit :P

I agree..... I thought you had already paid them :P If you have not paid, then it is not such a big issue. I mean, they did inform you before you paid.

I mean, it is wrong for them to have done something like that. But then as Darky said Mistakes do happen.

if you recollect after the ordering when we had chatted in private it was agreed mutually that this is too good to be true. infact i had mentioned to you that it is just a "Cut & Paste" operation from the US antec website ....and i had great doubts about the psu being included ....neverthless you had agreed that it was worth trying and hoped for the best.
i am just taking this matter a little further and hoping for the best ....thats all.:ohyeah:

anyways i would suggest you reread what all i have posted. i have never claimed any compensation (unlike others) neither have i said that i wont buy from itdepot again blah ...blah ...blah...in fact i have stated that i would continue to do so ...i have only warned the members to reconfirm about any cheap and suspicious deals thats all. and off course i am hoping that this issue would make the management of ITdepot more efficient in posting the product details in future.....in return if they honour their mistakes good ....else No problem ....(hum loot gaye barbaad hogaye ....sniff ...sniff)
@funky , it seems you have problems in understanding the concept of "honouring one's commitments".;) you are an armchair "expert":bleh: and i am the market roaming poor noob :cry....but i know what is right from wrong. so ur "bhashan" about sending payment etc..... is out of context. i have the order confirmation copy from their website and i think e-invoice too...along with the original product details and packing list. if there is any error in that it is the duty of the itdepot to immediately contact us or email us and inform us about the error (us meaning those who had showed genuine interest in purchasing it by ordering it)
....here i had taken the initiative to rectify this error and have yet to receive any formal reply (not here but w.r.t the original order, their reply about indian edition product etc... was in response to MY subsequent secondary query.)

ps: i had shown this letter to three very senior members last night. and to one i had even said lets see the advice we get from the members ...... the replies are as per expectations.....;) :D

and this is not the first time such cut and paste operation has been carried out on their site. i remember clearly about the Map of India that they had posted on their abacus site. even that was copied from their US parent site. it showed parts of kashmir as belonging to Pakistan :huh: .... which is a grave offence ....i had mentioned this to XT at that time ....and had requested him to pass on this message to the itdepot management through our helpful chennai members to rectify this error too....(while they were negotiating some tie-ups between us)

see i dont have any issues with itdepot infact would love to see it develop into a newegg of india but i will be less forgiving if they show such sloppiness in customer services..

I just my opinion clearly.Well it must have slipped my attention,come on it was already past 12 in the night and as i was not personally gonna buy it, i said...let it be who cares,whatever happens.:P

i didnt pay much attention,anyways as i said i wasnt personally involved in this entire thing, its better i dont comment much on that.;)
 
Well, even i think tht they just got started so maybe, it'll take some time to handle online customers the way other reknowned sites do but i for one, still do not have faith in online shopping for electronic goods..I mean you never know the product cud have been used as a demo, or maybe have been tampered with in the shipping process..you never know and when you receive a product not up to your expectations, its a long drawn out and sometimes frustrating experience to get a replacement..moreover, since the shop maybe in a different state and city, getting proper communication is a big problem..

On the other hand, take your trusted local dealer for example, you can thoroughly check the product before buyin, and in case, unfortunately, you find a fault when you use it for a few days, you can always demand a replacement with confidence..and he is bound to get it done or you can atleast reach his collars :P That's the point. :)

That makes me MAAADD!!!! I hate that!!! Who the f*** are the goddamn Americans to decide if Kashmir is a part of India or Pakistan?? where in their history books have they read that Kashmir has beeb given to Pakistan?? And it is ALL mags. National Geographic included who show Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

Goddamn these ignorant fools. Who think that a world outside their own country does not exist.

Certainly this is off topic..but...

They dont show the whole of kashmir as belonging to Pakistan but a part of it, the part which we call as POK is shown as belonging to Pakistan in many parts of the world...:no:

Though as an indian i shudnt say this but check the maps of india on various indian tv channels, they still show KAshmir as in the 50s...though the ground realities state that the land beyond LOC is disputed and there can be no consensus on the matter as of date...thats what this whole Indo pak $hit is all about..If you see the real map of india now, major part of J &K beyond Srinagar is now into POK...this significantly changes the map of india.. And that is where the Americans make a mistake..they dont call it as PAkistan Occupied Kashmir, but as a part of Pakistan as if they approve Pakistan's illegal occupation of the land..:@

Anyways, Dj i understand your point but you should have understood that a 7k PSU cannot be bundled with a 6k case.



So youu could have clarified naa. Its thier error I agree but still everybody makes mistakes...:)
 
Deejay, What i meant to say in my "Bhashan" was that you did not say no payment was made in the first page before they replied that the package dont contain PSU. If you wanted to see the reaction of people here you should have posted everything.
Everyone misunderstood that you paid and then itdepot sent that reply.
It makes difference. I thought his was letter to Mr. Vinod, and you say you posted this to see the reaction of TE member? Now i am confused. What was your motive behind all this? :huh:
If you wanted to see our reaction you should have simply made a thread telling us what happened and not open letter to mister Vinod.
Yes mistake is on their side. No argument there. But its not like they robbed you or something like that. You pointed out the mistake to them when you wrote that mail to them. Thats when they must have realised their mistake on the site and made the changes.

Its business for them and i wont be surprised if they dont do anything about this. Hell i have more horried experiences with more reputed distries like rashi here.

@Funky.... I agree... it is not like they have accepted money and now are refusing to return it.

And even I was under the impression that DJ paid the money before the second letter came. Guess it was a miscommunication between DJ and the rest of us
