1. Deejay, at the offset I would like to mention that Mr. Vinod is neither registered on the forum, nor does he browse through the site daily looking for "Open Letters" addressed to him (He however is well aware of this thread now, though he came to know of it through indirect means). He has written a reply to you, which I will duly forward to you as well as others affected by this "issue" via email.

2. About the Registered Accounts on the site, on receiving formal communication from Mr. Vinod, I believe data in the Registration database has been tampered with erasing most of the data. They are working on restoring that database ASAP. The fact that Chaos as well as other customers are facing similar problems with their a/c's should clear your mind of any "conspiracy" being played to cover up their tracks.

3. This is the most IMPORTANT point! We here at TechEnclave are NOT employees of IT Depot, we are not their mouthpiece and neither do we act as a "consumer grievances forum" for them. So I highly recommend you as well as the others stop using TE as an interface to get noticed by IT Depot. This is not the first time someone has indirectly put Me or TE in the line of fire for their issues with IT Depot (I have been asked openly on the forums by a particular member as to why he did not get a good deal on a certain cabinet the second time he bought it, inspite of dealing with IT Depot frequently. What have I got to do with IT Depot and running their business?). Not only do such issues put you in bad light by making people think you are 'washing dirty linen in public', but it indirectly affects the relationship we at TE are trying to develop with people in the Indian Hardware Industry.

We tried to act as a voice for the members of TE to source hard-to-obtain hardware, and DFI was one such breakthrough. It seems such efforts have been a setback rather than a blessing? I'm willing to bet had we not had any association with IT Depot in pushing them to bring DFI to India, we would not have had this very thread up here on TE either !

4. When I posted the link during an informal chat session with a few other members a few days back, it was done in a light-hearted manner assuming you all were wise enough to instantly comprehend that the page was a typo - my point which I wanted to make, unfortunately I had to make a hasty departure before I could state that out clearly. Little did I foresee that I would wake up a few days later to see that a small typo has been put under the magnifying glass! Even Chaos was quick to accept the mistake and order a NeoHE instead. 16 yr old like Anish has stated - "that a 7k PSU cannot be bundled with a 6k case.". A significantly older respectable gentleman should have no issue figuring that out either, else what harm in shooting a mail enquiring about the details? The fact that you mention - "CC i had purposely not used since getting the refund would have meant blocking my meagre funds for a good number of days ..", implies that you were expecting to see this happen and had used the whole issue as an exercise.

5. Mr. Vinod has graciously offered to give you a brand new TP 2.0 550W PSU for Rs. 5,500/- inclusive of all taxes deliverable to anyone in Chennai to make up for the PSU that you sold.

I would like to conclude that I apologise if you get offended by any of the above statements, but such issues put both Myself and TE in a delicate situation.
