Anyone Used / Using Samsung Infuse 4G ?

if we cut the steel plate that is above the sim card slot , we can solder the pins . its possible . am searching for a professional cutter

If you cut the cover how are you going to keep the SIM in place?

You can take it to a good local repairwala and ask him if he has that type of SIM tray. If he has, you can get the tray desoldered and fix a new tray.
 
look the image correctly , if we cut it exactly on the red line we will get the left and right border which is enough for holding the sim card , the replacement part is not available any where in the world

or if we cut it exactly on green line , thats enough for soldering the pins

Is the SIM card slot in the device having that much poor quality? I was thinking to get one, but i'm just worried after this issue, since i used remove & insert SIM card quite often

^^^ this happens only if you insert micro sim with adaptor and while remove sometimes the sim comes out the adaptor gets stuck there , then while removing the pins will be broken , solution for this is ....we need to insert the micro sim back and we should try removing the adaptor . quality of this phone is equal to all samsung phones

I have already ripped apart the SIM slot above housing so there is no way i can replace it. Sending it to my brother hoping for a repair will be a no brainer so i guess best option is to sell here for whatever price i can get and then may be a new phone for him and live with the loss

I had plans of getting myself also a new phone to replace my ZTE blade but now that is out of list, no upgrades for me for now.
 
Ok so here is the picture of the SIM slot which is irrepairable i think. Is there any way that in India someone can replace the entire slot ?? The MicroSD Card too does not go inside anymore (possibly because of the way i screwed the slot).

 
Update on my Infuse...

I sold my Infuse on ebay for 223$ (sold as parts / not working). After deducting paypal fees, ebay fees and shipping charges i got myself around 178$ in hand. I guess not bad for a non working phone, i think i made a right decision by not just throwing that in trash. I was getting really bad offers on craigslist (like 50-70$).

In entire transaction i lost about 100$ but better than loosing 275$.

Has the price of infuse gone up on eBay auctions?

like i told you XDA is much better.

There was a guy who sold like 19 Infuses last week.

He still has a couple more.

But all are without box.

Price IIRC $250.

Actually I am not buying any infuse now. Last time when I bought there was my friend of mine going to India, now no one is going so not buying.

Just that I checked on eBay and prices seem to have gone up.

With the introduction of galaxy note in US, I hope the prices of infuse come down.

I also feel the same and think the new update might have something to do with it
 
Has anyone bought Infuse from ebay.com and got it shipped through SNS ?

If yes then what were the charges you paid, in addition to the ebay.com price you paid ?

Like what was the customs charged and shipping ?

I am planning to buy from ebay and get it shipped to India but need to confirm before hand as to what i might end up paying for customs and shipping.

Me too having the same query. I have a friend in US and would like to know how can i get an infuse. Also guys please suggest me the apporximate price for a used Infuse.
