In today's world right/wrong is not same as, and cannot be replaced with legal/illegal. Shining example is India where parliament mp's don't want something which is 'right' to turn into a law. Or recent example of #idiotKapilSibal giving a hint what laws in future would be like for us.

Or just google for SOPA which is going to kill internet in 2012.
 
This is a worrying trend. First we had foxconn's phone becoming a bestseller and now accenture's belle is trying to become a credible alternative. Btw guys do you know that patent for "main menu" scrolling is with nokia. And apple in 2007 paid nokia an undisclosed amount to use it in their phones. .

It takes around 1-2 (not to mention the objections/investigations and other time consuming procedures) years to register a patent and I think Moto hasn't registered any of these patents.

Secondly, Apple applied for SLIDE TO UNLOCK patent back in 2007 and after 5 years they were granted patent.

So basically, I'm saying that it takes a lot of time to get a patent and by the time moto gets ready to sue the fruit company, Apple would have taken over the world.

Thirdy, the inventions you have mentioned are already in their widest use right now (obv'ly by moto's implied consent) So the probability to get them registered goes down to almost next to zero.
 
Oh maybe making stupid patents and suing all companies should be a start.

And then charging 50k for a phone would be another.

Naah, nothing. Was planning on writing a huge post as to why Apple needs to be burnt and the statue of Jobs must be removed, burnt, destroyed, mutilated, etc... you get the idea. Then settled for a simple one liner.

and not to forget epic statements like Apple going bankrupt right after release of iPad, cos all Apple-haters had concluded iPad was a failure. Now we know all know the "failure" of iPad :bleh:

The reverse can happen, though.
