Yupee, I got my pentech Burst from another forum member. Its rooted and ICS installed unfortunately, CWM 6 was installed by that person using ROM manager is there any way to downgrade the cwm version ?? And I am from delhi, looking for backcover any one ??

So finally i have rooted the phone and flashed Dav deoxed ics also, but i was facing some problems like i can't import contacts from sim memory and the default cwm is 6.0.14 which i think is not right so now restored to stock GB and removed all the crappy bloatware from the phone.Also i have one doubt which one is better among the 2 custom rom dave ics or gabuzz ics.....:unsure:
 
Just sync your contacts to Google then you can use any rom u want
And I'm using the new cwm as well as long as u don't install rom manager its cool nothing to worry about
 
Yup i noticed it after i reverted back to stock GB now i have synced it with the gmail and problem is solved ,but in ics when i was importing contacts from sim memory force close error occur saying "android interface stopped working" or something like that

I'm thinking to be on stock ics as til now I feel default pan tech launcher is best. N if there's no much battery life improvement than be on safer side n don't flash NW. I rooted n installed cwm too but still on stock ics. Performance ain't any issue as it's already fantastic..

So, it means after i have sync contacts with google. I can install any custom rom using my cwm 6.0.1.4 ?? Also, what about Nandroid backup and restore using cwm 6 ?

i dont back up and restore much. i dont mind installing apps all over again which ive just dumped on my sd card - sms backup works fine.. u should use titanium backup pro i think it works best for people - and on cwm 6.0.1.4 just make sure u dont install rom manager and update any rom via it.. (or any other app just to be safe) .. just do it manually i think itll be fine ... now that they have made the open source files available i hope some indian devs can make proper workin roms for it. .. new lockscreen + dialer would be great.. i use xphone as it can hide the emails now.. i hadto make a new acc as my old one had like 200+ emails showing up before i found xphone (facepalm)

Thank you for the valuable suggestion. I have removed ROM Manager. I just want to ensure about trying new custom roms using cwm 6.0.1.4. As per my understating cwm 6.0.1.4 is having issues with restoring backup. So can i install new custom roms using cwm 6.0.1.4. ( I have tried installing zip files using this cwm and its working fine for me )

yes u can install any roms/zips but for me when using 5.0.2.7 or 6.0.1.4 .. they all boot back into cwm and roms dont load.. maybe for u they will work. only wajees rom boots proper for me so im using that.

For me too on ics, everything(all ROMs I flash) reboot into cwm..
 
It works perfectly for me though , i flashed dav ics with 5.0.2.7 and all went pretty smooth for me booted into ics but i haven't tried flashing with the later until now

Humm, Thank you for the quick update :)

So what do did when cwm boot backed into cwm? I want to try new Roms but septical about bricking the device its 20 days old only :scared14::scared14:

it only bricks when u update a rom via rom manager. thats why i said not to do it.. other then that u wont brick it. wajees rom link is in the thread only.. lol go back and read up :P and when it reboots i just factory reset + cache + dalvik and install wajees again. i had all three roms dumped in the sd card before i tried anything.

Bro I have gone through complete thread but unable to find link of wajees rom :( can you plz share the link? Also, In my stock ICS whenever I try to open Contacts it always gives some error and closes down any help??

tech33 - best advise i can give u is start adding contacts in your gmail and sync it.. its probably cuz it cant sync via the simcard is why its giving u errors

^^ Thanks man. I have tried that but somehow its not working for me anyways I am using Go contacts as good alternative. One more noobish question what will happen to cwm and root access if I install stock ICS again using pentech update ( not from cwm ) ?
