Bad Company II : Initial Impressions

Need help here. I got a relative to buy me a dvd of the game. He's not in India so he just sms'ed me the cd key. Is there any way I can play online? I don't have the DVD atm but I do have a key... EA direct download doesnt seem to be working too.

Would an *ahem* version of the game work online if I register my cd key through it?

I have added you as well.. I think I added 5 6 ppl, out of which I have 2 friends right now.... SPAIOTA and The nightwalker.... or something....... Ill send you a request again around 630 PM today....
 
guys the friend list functionality is broken. lots of times requests don't come or go. don't worry about it too much, just keep trying and it will eventually work.

have you tried using the chapter select option in 'my campaign'? simply resuming a saved game after the patch causes the game to crash, but you can load up that particular chapter from the beginning and play from there. it's not ideal but not as bad as having to restart from the beginning right?

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry I wrote 'game'. Yes the chapter has to be started again. It will not start in the 'middle' of the saved chapter, once Patch 2 has been deployed to the installation.

Saurabh, I remember sending you an invite. It seems you didnt get it. Of the 5 people I sent the invite to,only Hellraiser06 seems to have got it.

Which servers do you guys play on usually? I get kicked out of Fragnetics for reasons I dont understand. Saluzi works fine.

I didn't get your invite. I usually play on SALUZI servers. I will send you an invitation too. Besides atiamd, I have chhanga on my friend list. I think there is something wrong with the friend invitation system.
 
Started the campaign - very good graphics, not taxing on the system. Gameplay is very good. Almost as good as MW2. A lot of elements seems to have been copied from MW2. :p
 
Can anyone tell me why this game has no servers in India. I do get decent pings on SALUZI and Fragnetics. But still, why are there no servers in India?

apart from counter strike, all indian gamer servers are usually dead.

i would forget about getting a proper bc2 server going in india. the tf2 community here is huge and even then, we cannot keep tf2 servers in india populated. what chance does battlefield have?
