CCFL inverters are a real pain the @$$ :S

mine got busted, literally with a bang :P opened the inverter, one some IC got all charred...it wasnt repairable too...

when i asked our elex guys to make me a 12V DC to 750V AC convertor, they were looking at me in shock and awe  telling me no such things exist

then busted the second inverter trying to measure the output voltage...saw a blue arc between the leads of the inverter and my thumb finger :S bussst.....

well..mask had the same CCFLs, his got busted too :P

had to wait 5 months since i got my new inverters......

PS : Me and mask have Coolermaster Aurora CCFL kits... (i have green and blue, mask has red )
Hehe I have the same... violet. Hope mine doesn't go bust anytime soon :hap5: .

Thinking of getting the above mentioned Panflo 120mm and will use it as rear exit and stock antec 120mm provided with 3700BQE at intake , how is this idea good or worthless

If you have the low speed Antec as intake and the high speed Panaflo as exhaust then you will have negative air pressure in the case. There are 3 schools of thought on this topic - some say Negative pressure is better some say Positve and some say Balanced Pressure in and out. I have always tried to keep a slight Positve pressure and this has always worked for me. At the moment I have an 120mm Antec Intake and an 120mm Antec exhaust and I think the Intake fan is a bit more powerful than the exhaust - this gives me CPU and Case temps very close to Room temps. I have a third 120mm fan - a Pabst 120mm High speed but powered at 7v to reduce speed - this 3rd fan is inside the case and it directs the Intake air to the CPU and Display card.

heh, i am really wondering how come this thread got so big. It was about a damn fan :P
Anyway, its really hard to find and even harder to make sure its a original quality fan.
just get yourself a nice 80/92MM fan with RPM monitoring and use it. If it cooks then throw it away and get the new one.
And just make sure you turn on the CPU fan RPM protection in Bios. If fan fails it will switch off the PC.
I just saw couple of good sunon 92mm fans with 3 pin connector. Was about 250 bucks a piece.
