The early termination fee is waived off and the contract becomes null & void if you are leaving the country. This is true for AT&T. For others I am not sure.

AT&T even provides unlock codes for phones that can be unlocked by codes, if you show them that you are leaving the country.

Of course if you live in the country & do not pay your dues, it goes into your credit history and then one fine day the debt recovery guys/lawyers letters are at your doorstep.
That was true only for t mobile never for att, but even t mobile changed their policies in Feb 2011.

@all Do not PM me asking to help in getting the 42" TV off Best Buy to India. I cannot help , it was a offer just for raksrules and more over it cannot be ordered online.

OMG, you must have been inundated with PM's asking for help! And many had not realised that with shipping + customs - warranty, it would have been better to buy one from here!

For ~1k + shipping/customs/etc, not a bad deal

Newegg.com - Sennheiser - Professional DJ styled - Closed Dynamic Bass Headphones (HD 202 II)

Amazon had a sale on 32Gb microSDHC Class 4 cards yesterday, for $30 each. Dunno if its still alive.

Also that Sharp TV deal is going to be a doorbuster with a ton of pushing and shoving for it. Don't know if that's worth it for a damn TV. Similar deals are aplenty here in the US.

As for getting it to India, the customs will kill you, plus the hassle of shipping it carefully. Again, is it worth it?

Which means ill have trouble sourcing legit games, can easily get a converter for the power issue, right?
