Police cant check nitty gritty of everything, it is morale responsibility of public also to be vigilant in such spoiled conditions prevailing in India
i do accept they can't check everyone but atlest they could keep eye on those who seem to avoid those securuty checks..Although citizens should remain alert isn't it the duty of policemen to protect people?

Latest news says firing at Marriott Hotel at Juhu.

Clearly, the focus of most of the news channels is in South Mumbai.

Not much news about Vile Parle and Juhu as of now.

sigh, we had a discussion on this sometime ago in office.
Almost all of them agree that if anybody wants to go ahead with such a scale of attack, It is unavoidable.

seems the chaps in the Taj have been asking for rooms with americans.

and taking them hostages. they'r letting indians go it seems.

Well, fact remains that prepared or not, if there are so many random places where the terrorists attack and that too simultaneously, its really hard on the cops to take action at such short notice. The distance between most of the places involved in South Mumbai, could easily be traversed in under 15 mins by car at night time (At normal speed, if you are fast enough, 10 mins is a very very decent figure). So just imagine reaching one place and knowing that something else has happened at another place 10 mins from there? Its difficult.

Latest news states that the damn idiotic terrorists are holding foreign nationals hostage.

As far as the detection of these terrorists is concerned, well there is no doubt that the security was lacking at most places, but whats more astonishing is the fact that these terrorists went unnoticed carrying such a large amount of ammunition. I am sure there has to be someone who is bound to have seen these lame people at some point of time with such amounts of ammunition.

Targeting foreign nationals is the most cowardly act they can do. In the already crumpling economy, effecting every damn field of work inclusive of tourism, this is going to deal a very very big blow to the tourism industry.

Getting into a police van in such chaos without being spotted is pretty astonishing too.

PS: No attack at Marriott hotel but at Ramada Hotel in Juhu.
