Shows that the non TC is faster than the TC. Due to the lesser memory bandwidth of the TC.... 64 bit..... whereas the on TC has 128 bit(the example reviewed here i.e )

Ok so the lam road trip is cancelled due to rains. And my friend wants to buy today itself. So, if the foxconn board is not available here, would it be better to go for nf3? Like k8n or something? And which gfx card to go with that?

a64 3000+ (no idea which core)
msi rs480
transcend 2*512 ( hope its original)
seagate 160gb pata (7200.7 most probably)
17" flat ( lg i think)
sony dvd-rw (model no....no idea)
atx cabinet w/psu
creative inspire 2.1
logitech kb/mouse
Also the dealer is giving the following *free*
TV Tuner
spike guard
dvd movies
game cds
headphone w/mic
6 pc glass teaset
Total 40,400/- including vat, installation and 1 year on site warranty.

He'd gone with his dad, so luckily I was spared facing a dealer who sells computers like vegetables.

me 2, i bought a similar config for my friend with 6600 256MB and 1GB ram+ compro TV tuner, etc...

he could hve follwed the config given my freaky, he must hve fallen for those freebies. Most of my friends fall for the offers free Table and Games CDs.

It really is a pain when such friends ask for advice. Here I was trying my best to help him get the best deal possible, and he goes out with his dad and books this crap.

Its true my pal. Those who dont know much about compputer asking me for help. They insist on Branded computer like compaq, Hp, etc. I just like that tell them if y a wanna buy them just dont ask me. Its all like this they are all afraid of assembled. They want only the service not the performance.

"Won't I get any problems with AMD?"

"Is AMD compatible with all software?"

and the most popular -
"Does't AMD have a heating problem? Will I need an a/c?"

at least I convinced my friend to buy an AMD. This system he got is quite good, though expensive.

Exactly, can't blame them. Its those vendors who create such fuss regarding. Just think, when AMD created heat problem with the old proccessors every vendors were shouting when any one say AMD. But when the present day intel proccessors heats up i dont think none of the vendors are complainig AFAIK.

i personally saw a vendor of a big shop trying to sell a p4 3gig when the customer was pointing towards a 3200+...the vendor was saying..."sir..woh amd cheap maal hai..jab aap itna paise lagaa rahe ho, intel hi lo"

why is he buying such expensive vegetables hyeah:
lets see:

a64 3000+ msi rs480 = around 10 to 11k

transcnd 1gb = 4.5k

seagate 120gb pata = 3300Rs

17 " lg flat = 6500rs

cabinet +keyboard = 2k
sony dvr -rw = 3.5k

creative inspire 2.1 = 1.8k
all thr stupid free stuff not more than 2k

total comes to something around = 33k.

What is he doing man...zhopudey.....stop hom NOW!
