I bought my psp, and not only its a TA-082 mobo, its firmware 2.81.

Yeah, im screwed, like badly.

In any case, I've been on the 'good' side of gaming since the last few months, have been buying legal games and not downloading them away so it really doesn't matter. I have my N70 for all nes and game boy emulation needs :P

Anyways, looks like me and my bro can't do with just one psp so we will be buying another one for him in January 1st or 2nd week....is there any place at all where 2.71 non ta-082 mobo psp's might be available????

I got the core pack, GTA Vice City stories and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops along with it (wooohooo!!)
 
Yeah params, use DAX's TA-082 downgrader to get to 1.50...u wont be able to go 2.71 or 3.02, but 1.5 is good enough.

Games that shouldnt be missed:
1) MGS - Portable Ops
2) Burnout Legends (freakin awesome)
3) Tenchu - Time of the assasin
4) Syphon Filter
5) GTA - VCS
6) Mercury
 
Where can I find PSP in Bangalore.. I am planning buying one this weekend!!
Pls Reccomend the place for buying Modded PSP!!
Can I get it in SP road!! ..if it is, which shop!!
 
SP road is for comp stuff mainly i think

for 1st hand stuff, goto any planet m, sony showroom

and you have to mod the psp yourself (its a software hack, not hardware)

with alex's latest hack release, it doesnt matter which psp you buy tho non-ta082 is always preferred
 
Thing is, I've upgraded my PSP's firmware to 3.03 now.

What's the highest firmware from where Alex's ta082 mod will downgrade?

I want to make sure I get the right PSP for my bro in which I can run homebrew.

PSPdownloadswitch forums, is working on a 3.03 downgrader and TA-082 3.03 downgrader!

just now upgraded to 3.02 OEA by DAX...bye bye Devhook :P

the game "pursuit force" is awesome too..not to be missed :)
 
So let me get this straight :

1) 2.71FW with TA-082 - can be flashed back to 1.50

2) 2.80 or 2.81FW with TA-082 CANNOT be flashed back.

That means we still need to get 2.71, right?
 
Yeah..that is what i meant..if u have 2.80 then ur fine..but i dint come across any 2.81 downgraders.
