Cheap way to stop outside noise from coming in through sliding windows and doors?

Is there a cheap way to stop outside noise from coming inside the house through gaps in sliding windows and doors?
I'm sure everyone has a problem with society members playing high volume songs during some celebration of such events. In my case, they put the speakers right outside my house, so sometimes if someone is completely deaf, the loud stadium speakers they use makes every window and door shake and vibrate. Thankfully they stop at around 10pm but they start really early around 7am sometimes.

If possible then place heavy old towels on the windows and doors. Slightly dampens the noise but also makes your house dark. Lol

Then get some car subs and let 'em blast at them. On a more serious note, you may need professional help if you really want to get your windows properly insulated. Or if its just impacting your sleep, get some earplugs.
If its a metro, try approaching the authorities like PCB etc.

If possible then place heavy old towels on the windows and doors. Slightly dampens the noise but also makes your house dark. Lol

This week I was working really late (like till 3-4am) to meet the project submission deadline and I could hear music coming from far away place celebrating wedding it lasted for almost 3days.

Guys, I live in the street where there is a marriage hall, 2 big temples, 1 big college, and a big apartment society where they celebrate each festival/event with loud speakers...
Almost every day is ruined in some way.

Edit: Forgot to mention menacing street dogs who always have a meeting after 1 AM

Send a regd letter to the association. Follow it up with legal notice

Big problem is it's really dry & hot in my area now. Temps in day is around 31°C and if i keep windows closed, air inside becomes hot and such. Not much humidity now since December it's around 20% or less everyday.
I tried the 3M earplugs but they only help a bit. You can still hear crackers and the lower bass which is the main problem.

Even if you try legal way or speaking to them in meetings about noise, you will be blamed in many ways and eventually trouble you. Leave it, people are like that and we can't do anything about them.

I suggest soundproofing your windows professionally. But you have to check reviews of whatever company/type ones you are going to use.

Yes they cannot fully block out everything. We use these and find them to be pretty effective -
They are imported hence pricey but for a good night's sleep it is a pretty small price to pay. Now we get them cheaper in bulk when my cousin flies in from US.
Maybe couple earplugs with professionally sound insulated windows.

Using this on my French doors to close the gap between the doors to stop dust entering. Also helps with noise reduction.

Does this actually stop dust from entering? I have large gaps around my main door from which dust and sound enters. The gap almost becomes zero during rainy season due to wood expansion.

Yes. I wouldn't say 100%. There is 75-80% reduction. I'll share some photos tomorrow.

Edit: Sorry for the bad photo. The windows are dirty and the camera is crap.

I used this type of seal-tape thing. I had bought two. The first one was installed in one go (single-uncut strip). That came off within days of installation.

Second attempt, I cut them into 4-5 strips and its really on for the last 3 yrs.

I have soundproof uPVC windows in my house (vacuum double glass windows). It worked great for the first 6 months. I had a neighbour drilling a borewell and I could barely hear it inside the house. It was really good while it lasted. After six months the sound proofing was reduced a lot. I am not sure if it was the issue with the windows or the Doors in the house contracting as the wood matured.
