The Irish have a match coming up against India. Hopefully they wont repeat the feat and importantly India should not take them as lightly as england did yesterday.

In any case...Once India bat first in Q/F..that could be it given the bowling "Attack" it has...they must drop Munaf/Piyush for sree..

Man Indian bowling as messy as it can be...

1) Zaheer

2) Harbhajan

3 and 4) Nehra -> no not fit. not in form currently. Replace with Sreesanth

Sreesanth -> Fit. Not in form. Neither has line or length. More dependent on swing. Will be belted most of the time. Replace with Piyush.

Piyush -> Fit. Only positive is that he is a leg spinner. No consistency. Depends on Pure luck. Now what replace by ashwin.

Munaf -> Not 100% Fit. But still fitter than Nehra. In form. Has line and length. But can get belted.

Need to see what the strategy is now.

I wish the Australians get thrashed throughout the tournament. Specially after the way they behaved in the second over. Ricky Ponting has lost it.

This the way they always behave, they just want to win and sledging/mindgames is a part of the strategy used by them.

SA - Choke, Choke, Choke :P

India should throw Chawla out and pick Ashwin. What is the use of variety when he cant contain or pick wickets even agaisnt associates!!! 8-0-56-0. Very poor when compared to other bowlers figures and context of the match and opposition.

India managed to win. Yusuf needs to be promoted up the order against the crucial matches against SA and WI. Piyush Chawla is probably Dhoni's dungeon b**ch - don't know why he's in the team.

I feel Ireland is probably the team to look out for in the future. I am extremely impressed with Ireland--all round amazing performance. They may not win as many matches but they do put up quite a fight. They have been fielding brilliantly - I would rate them as one of the top sides when it comes fielding in WC 2011 !! Our team can take a cue from Ireland when it comes to fielding. Irish spinners bowled pretty well and did get the Indian big guns. These guys need more exposure and backing they have the potential to be one of the top teams in the next 5-10 years.

Bhajji also can't be seen in his original form
Why the hell can't he get wickets on spinner friendly pitches ?
And Poor Suresh Raina doesn't have place in the team

I really don't know why they keep persisting with him. A part time spinner is able to take 5 wickets and Munaf/Bhajji/PC dont do crap.....a rethink of the bowling options is the need of the hour. Munaf needs to be dropped as well. At least Bhajji is keeping the runs in check. Zaheer is the only Indian bowler doing something in this world cup.

No munaf is good

don't forget his past performances

will the past help the team win its matches in this edition of the worldcup? unless those feats are repeated in the present and future with equal consistency - there cannot be the question of any sort of claim on the world cup by India. Compare this team (2011) to the one which was under Saurav Ganguly in 2003. We dominated and out played the opposition in most of the matches barring the Australians (twice we lost against the aussies) there was cohesion and it was a team effort rather than hoping and waiting for an individual to deliver as is the case now.

Going by the past records in Indian sub-continent and given team Australia's performance.

I would place my bets on Australia lift the cup.

Pakistan (most probably) and Sri-Lanka are my dark horses.

India well before the world cup was way out. they cannot even field better then Ireland who are part timers.

Where as India does not have a concrete bowling line-up.

And we have players like Nehra and Shreesanth who are sure shot match winners for the opposition. And personally I doubt the consistency in our batting line-up.

Also Ireland though they lost the match against India, but their bowling and fielding was a lot better. Personally my view on Indians playing slowly is that I feel Indians were either playing very safely, i.e. dhoni and yuvraj (not taking any risks) OR it would have been motivated by betting circuits to pull up the rates.
